It has come to my attention that photos I posted on here simply for the interest of fellow fans, have been taken without consent and posted on the French side of Balto Source (main website). I find this disappointing that they didn't even ask me first (especially as I am right here on the forum) or credit me accordingly.

If that is the attitude of this site then I will not be posting any further photos on the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about that, AC. Perhaps you could contact Hecate (she can speak English), one of the French mods about the situation.

Edit: Hmm, it appears that they also took one of my photos of my Balto plush as well. I guess I don't mind it being there, but they should at least ask or give credit.

Thanks Mighty I'll do that. It really is the principle of it and considering how big this site is with all the different folks here would it be really that hard to get their own original content?

Crazy, that isn't a official piece of Merchandise, it's fan made. And also, your post is rather off-topic, and spamish.

I've decided to bring this thread back to life to share more photos with you all. Please excuse the water marks but they are necessary - please don't use these without permission.

This is, as far as I know, the most complete and original Press Kit out there and consists of the following:

A cover sheet about the movie
The normal black and white stills wrapped in a paper envelope for protection
2x booklets
6x colour slides with description sheet
1x complimentary cinema ticket to an exclusive screening
1x smaller colour folder

Sorry to double post but the site only allows 3 attachments per message...

Another item that usually generates a lot of interest is the sticker album. This was made by a UK company called "Merlin" that was probably better known for sports related albums and now is owned by Topps Company Inc.

Front cover:

The numbered shapes are where the stickers should be placed. I do have the complete set of stickers to go with each of these. The book is fully of wonderful artwork and nice facts about the movie. I'll have to try and scan each page at some point.

please don't use these without permission

Cool presskit! Is that what all of the kits were suppose to contain? Or were only few made that contain the extra goodies?

The honest answer is I'm not sure but it would be plausible to think that they should do. If you want publicity for your film then it makes sense to give the media a free screening so that they can write a review in magazines, papers etc. I suppose it depends on the target offices that they were sent to - if it is for advertisement then the stills and books would be enough. The cover sheet actually gives instructions of captions to write under each photo and/or slide.

This is a fun one...

From Japan and back in the day when if you needed to make a phone call you had to go find a phone booth... and if you didn't have any cash you'd use one of these pre-purchased cards. I've never seen another.

Please ignore the marks on it as the card is in a plastic sleeve. The dust like marks are just marks in the plastic.

Starting to think that this forum isn't quite as active as it once was... oh well I'll carry on :)

How about some autographed stills? Ignore any funny looking glare or reflections as a couple of these are behind glass.

Yeah, this site isn't as active as it used to be. Most of the activity is just general chit chat, character creating and role-playing.
Too bad your forum is gone.

Those signed stills are awesome!

I don't have any photos, but I have the following:
Sitting Balto plush (in poor condition)
Sitting Jenna plush (near mint, if not mint)
Laying Jenna plush (not mint, but in good condition)
Balto VHS
Balto 1 DVD still in shrink wrap (I found it last summer on a store shelf for $5.00)
Balto 1/2 DVD set
Balto 3 on iTunes (I don't know if that counts. I used to have the DVD, but my bed sealed its fate when I pulled it out)
Poster (the poster was in storage and ended up damaged. I was quite upset when I discovered it had been loose in the unit. I may just have to get a frame for it to prevent further damage...)
Press kit with six color slides
Balto The Hero story book
Real Balto plush (from the Cleveland museum)
Real Balto mug (from cleveland museum)

Hi Mighty - my forum went a long time ago but sadly it was a bit of a relief.

Nice collection - you have some interesting and hard to get items. Shame about the poster but they do pop up on eBay quite often should you ever want to replace it. I'd be interested to see the items from the museum (I think I've seen the plush before).

In the mean time I received a parcel today... I'm quite excited about what is inside, but would anyone like to guess?

I photographed my items (minus Balto. He's locked up in the garage lol) last night. I'll post them a bit later today.

I think my poster can be saved since it isn't a complete loss.

Hmm. Maybe it's some story boards? production drawings?

Has he been a bad dog LOL?

You are half right Mighty, there are some production drawings and storyboards in there but also 4 original screen used backgrounds :)

Here are 2 of them:

Hospital

ADS_8254.jpg

Alley
Attachment:
ADS_8256.jpg

What is interesting is that the hospital one isn't on a board like all the others... Also all backgrounds have the same signature on them (as do all the others that I have) but I haven't worked out who that is who signed them all. I'll look it up at some point.

What I'd love to do is paint a cel for each of these boards and then have them all framed. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the corresponding production drawings to do this so I may have to resort to making some line art from a screenshot.
