If you notice the press releases, the fact that made Boom Studios decide to turn the new Darkwing Duck comics into an ongoing series instead of a 4-issue was the fact that there was a " tremendously positive fan support". So, I'm thinking : if we really do want them to make a Talespin comics, it wouldn't hurt to let them KNOW we DO want them to make some, right? They're currently making an awesome job with Darkwing Duck (see the previews here : http://www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia ... ?aid=34871), and they would surely do great things with Talespin too. We may not have too many occasions like that. So, I would really like if each of you would send an email to Boom Studios. Their email address is : boomkids@boom-studios.comOr this one : boom-studios@boom-studios.comPostal address : BOOM Kids! 6310 San Vicente Ave. Ste. 404 Los Angeles, CA 90048 You can also try to reach them using their contact page : http://blog.boom-studios.net/contact/ , though I'm not sure the emails are really sent (nothing happens after clicking the send button) Finally, they also do have a forums (strangely, it tooks me almost 2 months to notice it...) : http://forums.boom-studios.net/ It was nice to see that someone else already asked them about that... We have nothing to lose, right? And it will only take one minute of your time. Can you DO IT?

Quote: Maybe we could send them the TS 2nd pilot script to review when it's finished... or am I just being crazy? Most companies don't accept submissions unfortunately. (because they fear of being sued if a fan does a story close to them and they eventually do a similar story "officially") Thanks for the support though.

Triple post, I know, but... I found a recent interview of Greg Weisman (the guy behind Gargoyles), and I found some bits interesting : http://www.graphicnovelreporter.com/con ... -interviewQuote: Are you still coming out with new comics? Not right now. SLG’s license from Disney ran out, and Disney wanted to raise the license fee and SLG couldn’t afford to do that at this time. At the moment, as far as I know, the license is up for grabs. I’m certainly willing to do more. I’d love to do more. But right now no one has the license, so I’d guess you’d say it’s in limbo. What could help that? A lot of things could help that. It would help if Disney reduced the license fee. I understand they want more money for it, but it would seem to me some money is better than no money. If they charge a little less, SLG might renew it, or another company might pick it up. We were one of SLG’s bestselling books. Gargoyles was pretty much SLG’s bestselling title when it was coming out. I think there’s a value there. Again, I’d be more than willing to write some more. Are they dumb or what?? They increased the license fee, because it was doing very well, but now they don't do anything with it? And instead of lowering the fee to allow them to sell comics and make some money, they prefer doing nothing. Very logical. Great marketing people at Disney I see. I sure hope the same won't happen to Darkwing or the future DA series that may get made into comics...

Ian Bril (writer of DW comics) and another one from Boom! said that : Quote: Like anything else in comics if fans show their support you'll see more of it. Keep buying, keep it on your pull list. As for more Disney Afternoon titles it's pretty much the same thing, keep doing what you're doing by letting it known that's what you want. Quote: DARKWING DUCK is ongoing! As for the other request...you'll have to wait and see what else we have up our sleeve.
Chip BOOM! So that means they plan more! And...you know what you have to do Everyone who didn't buy it/them yet, shame on you!

Aaaaaaannnnnnnddd...This is starting to REALLY look good! I reached Jymn yesturday, talking about the Darkwing comics, and wondered if he would agree to do a TaleSpin comic. And here's his answer! Quote: "How bizarre. I just learned about Boom! yesterday and sent a message (via their website) offering my services. But it was a generic send, so if you know someone specific I should talk to (or if you have any clout with them), lemme know! I'd love to do Tale Spin for them. Jymn" A shame I didn't reach him earlier! I sure wrote him down a list of the contacts I know about (you can see my answer on this Facebook page he set up two months ago : http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Jymn-M ... 294?ref=ts) Now with Jymn's support, they HAVE to do it, right?

From the Boom Studios forums : http://forums.boom-studios.net/viewtopi ... 8428#p8428Quote: Quote: P.S. Any chance of Talespin or Rescue Rangers getting a comic in the near future? All I have to say is...STAY TUNED!!! <3 BOOMKate They DEFINITELY plan something (please let it be TS!!! even if I like RR, I would be utterly disappointed if it's not part of any new batch of comics they are planning) Also some evidence leads to new Gargoyles comics : http://www.toonzone.net/forums/showthread.php?t=271788Quote: Demona_Gargoyle: The "Make a REAL Gargoyles Movie, Disney!" Facebook group has over 1,000 members now. Good. I shall triumph! Do you hear me, @boomstudios?!
boomstudios: @Demona_Gargoyle OH!!! We HEAR you!!!
Demona_Gargoyle: @boomstudios I only pester you because I know a comic book about us would be in good hands with you.
boomstudios: @Demona_Gargoyle hrmmm...THAT sounds like an idea! Maybe it's too early to say so (this may only be reprints of older comics like the Ducktales ones in Uncle Scrooge), but I really think the Darwking Duck comics success has unlocked SOMETHING Boom! (like any other companies) make announcements at the major events (Darkwing comics were announced at the Emerald City comic-con). The next events are : Quote: Events
Fan Expo Canada Toronto, Canada Aug 27, 2010 2:00pm Aug 29, 2010 6:00pm Baltimore Comic-Con Baltimore, MD Aug 28, 2010 10:00am Aug 29, 2010 5:00pm New York Comic Con New York, NY Oct 8, 2010 10:00am Oct 10, 2010 5:00pm Long Beach Comic Con Long Beach, California Oct 29, 2010 3:00pm Oct 31, 2010 5:00pm I guess we will probably hear about more around these dates

The news just came out. There will be a new Disney Afternoon title coming out soon! And the chosen one is... Rescue Rangers. http://www.comicbookdaily.com/daily_new ... -at-panel/I'm glad for all of you who love RR but I can't help being frustrated. (I still like it but I admit it's the DA series I like the least) Why is Talespin ALWAYS behind?? Although the author of the article wrote this : Quote: Keep yours peeled if you’re a fan of Tale Spin or Bonkers, because you never know which beloved franchise Boom! will launch next. But also this : Quote: As for the future of Boom! and its Disney Afternoon revolution, they’re always having discussions about what title they can pursue next, but are hesitant to over-saturate the market, he said. Please, everyone, we MUST convince them we NEED a new Talespin comic! The Disney Afternoon wouldn't be complete without it!!!
