Cooper looked after her, his eyes curious. How could a dog like Fiata be such a strong runner but not care about racing like she used to? You don't care, he reminded himself. That was true but he wasn't quite the runner Fiata was. He sighed and turend backt o his team.

Lily ssmiled at D.J. and mouthed, "Thanks." she ran towards Fiata. "Hey, Fiata. How was your conversation?" she hwispered

Storm turned back toward Lily. "Did you have any part-" but then he realized she was gone. He turned to D.J. "Where did she go?"

D.J. shrugged. "With the rest of the team I assume."

Fiata shrugged. "Okay, I guess. We really didn;t get to talk much considering somebody wasn't doing to good of a job distracting my father and brother."

Lily chuckled "innocently". "Sorry, Fiata. I didn't knwo what to do. I have an idea for next time. However, Sstorm nearly bit my head off, I barely escaped." She cast a glance over her shoulder D.J. and msiled.

Cooper at Fiata and smiled. He turned nad padded to his team, looking for Leah, ready to cool down and forgive.

Storm sighed. "Come one," he said to his son. "It's time we hitch up the time." Storm walked off toward the team, ready to start the race once more.

D.J. smiled at Lily without his father's noticed. He trotted after Storm.

"Yeah," Fiata sighed. "He can be like that."

Leah saw Cooper coming toward her. She looked away, waiting for him to get close enough before saying, "What do you want, Coop?" in the most annoyed tone she could muster.

Lily felt something leap in her stomach as she looked at D.J. What was wrong with her? Quickly, she turned to Fiata, blushign slightly, hoping she didn't notice. She wasn't eager for Fiata to catch her staring at D.J.

Cooper sighed. "Look, Leah, I shouldn't have been so rude but I had to know." He still wasn't about to apologize but it wouldn't hurt to say he knew that he was a bit out of line.

Fiata looked at Lily with an accusing look after seeing her blush. But Fiata decided to hold her tongue.

Leah looked at Cooper before walking off toward the sled. She didn't say anything, just sat in her place in line, waiting to be hitched up.

"Come on, everyone!" Storm called in his commanding voice. "Time to hitch up!"

Fiata walked to her place in line, glad she didn't have to say anything to Lily about D.J.

cooper shrugged and got in place.

Juana nodded at her team and lined up.

Cooper prepared himself to run, trying to let go of his emotions and concentrate on running. however, he knew this was going ot be hard.
