"Hey, Duke," Sonya greeted. "Are you running or watching?" she asked with a smile.

"It's too bad we don't get to talk much," Fiata said. "Being on seperate teams and all." He musher called her. "I better," she said. "See ya on the trail!" She trotted over to her space in the team.

Storm kept a cool head and went to his spot as well.

Leah went to her spot, but wanted to confront Cooper about his little talk.

"Who was that?" D.J. asked coldly.

"Cooper," Fiata said simply.

Dustin glared at Duke and walked off,he'd always had a problem wtih other males.

Duke frowned after Dustin. "What'd I do?"

Cooper walked to his place in line and looked at Leah. "Hi, Leah," he siad. He cast a glance at Fiata.

Lily looked at Fiata. "What was that about?" she asked curiously.

Juana frowned at Cooper. Surely, surely, he wouldn't fall for a dog ont eh Raven team! After all, well... they were on diffrent teams for dog bone's sake!

"And why is it you were talking to her?" Leah asked.

Fiata looked back at Cooper. "Kinda cute," she said with a chuckle. "But I guess even if it was love at first chance, my father wouldn't allow, huh?"

"Ya got that right, sis," D.J. said.

"Just stay away from his," Storm added. "He's an Eagle Dog. Thoses canines are nothin' but trouble."

"She's part of the Raven Team," Leah spat. "Don't you get it?! She's the enemy, the compitition. That means you don't have a little chat with her!" Leah took a deep breath to calm herself. "And she's the lead dog's daughter. That's even worse!"

"I guess I better go find Dustin," Sonya said. "The race is starting soon. See ya at the finish line, Duke!" Sonya trotted quickly toward Dustin. "Come on, Dust. The race is about to begin. I thought you were running with me?" She nugded his shoulder playfully.

Duke had decided earlier to run but he decided to keep away from Dustin. He didn't want to chase the dog away from running too.

Cooper stared at Leah. "What's wrogn with you? She's just a dog like us! Who cares about teams if you know what's in someone's heart! What's in their soul." He took a deap breath. "Sorry, Leah. I was just trying to be friendly."

Lily looked at Storm and D.J. "Calm down," she said. "She was just making a friend."

Leah rolled her eyes. "Don't get too friendly with her, Coop," she said. "If you knew what was good for the both of ya, would would keep you're distance."

"Yeah," D.J. said, "with the enemy."

"He's the compitition," Storm said.

"But, Papa-" Fiata was cut off when someone's voice echoed through the crowd. They were almost ready to start the race. Everyone quieted to prepare to start.

Duke crouched low. It was unlikely a Doberman like him could go far but he had done a lot and he knew he was strong. He prepared to run as much as he could.

Lily frowned. "Bite me," she muttered. She turned to the race and prepared to run.

Cooper stared at Leah. "I don't think it makes a diffrence," he said cooly. "If you were on that team, I'd still be your friend." A thought hit him. "W-would you still me my friend?" He prepared to run thouh he wanted and answer although he wasn't sure he'd like it.
