"Would both of you quit it," Fiata said. "The race is about to begin."

Sonya was sure to stay away from Duke when she and Dustin prepared to run after the teams together. "Get ready...," she mumbled under breath. "Get set..."

Leah looked at Coop, than in front of her. She was ready to run her best.

Fiata breathed heavily. The loud crack of the gun shot echoed through the the street. All the dog sped off.

Lily smirked at D.J. and ran on. They had to win this race. Teh air felt heavy with competivness and she wanted to help her team win.

Cooper ran steadily and looked at Leah. Would she really be his friend if he was on teh other team? The question was like a powerful wave bashing his skull inside his head.

Juana knew Cooper was distracted. "Cooper, concentrate," she hissed. She continued tor un, though she was worried for him. She hated to admitt it but she wasn't just worrid about Cooper. She was worried about teh race too.

Duke ran through the snow. He wasn't running as fast as the sleds. He was just enjoying himself.

Leah consintrated the race and ignoreing Cooper. But she knew that when night came and they would have to make camp, that she would not be able to avoid him.
