Maybe I did way back when I first watched the film, but in recent viewings, I haven't.
It is easy to be shocked by how sudden the scene happens, but thank goodness you never see the end result or hear the word "die". That could scar a child for life there.

I thought she just disappeared for some reason and Bambi was sad that his mom was going to be gone for a long time because he was going to miss her... lol I was kidn of a slow kid back then. But then I watched it again once I got older... and yeah, I cried. XD ^ Yeah this was basically me. I don't cry anymore when I see it though

I guess crying and being moved by a scene is different ... the scene is so powerful that the majority of people who havent seen the movie recall seeing her shot, whilst this isnt the case it shows how big an impact the scene had. I didnt cry, but I was moved. Until 2 years ago bambi was the only disney movie I owned .. so its up there with my favourites <3

Given that I didn't see the film until I was 13, I understood enough of what was going on that I DID let loose a few tears. I didn't go and lay in bed for a week, but it was enough to make me cry.

Yes I did:( so sad! The only things that have made me cry are bambi and the book Rusty by Joyce Stranger, also about a deer a must read for bambi fans!
