D'you want the truth from me on this?
...Bambi's Mother's death stirred absolutely no emotion in me whatsoever. I felt nothing, no sadness, nothing. I've only cried at one movie in my whole life. But on Bambi's mom's death, I didn't feel anything or think anything other than, "Oh... I expected to feel... Something there. Where's the sadness?"

It's actually much worse when you read the book. Don't believe me? Read the book and you'll change your mind.

I do wanna read the book! I just need to find a place that has it for sail. We don't get to go to the book store much - a shame, really, considering Watership Down only occupied me for around a week and a half.

Meh. It was sad and all, but not enough to make me cry.

You ever notice how most disney movies make you cry at one point or another. Disney is always so sad!

Probably when I first saw it as a little kid (I don't know...it's been too long to remember). But I don't anymore...would not have since I was a little kid, if at all. Tibbeh wrote: Knowing how I was when I was a little kid, probably. xD (I'm one of those kids that cried during Fox and the Hound when Todd was being brought to the forest. >.>) I know right? That scene in The Fox and the Hound STILL moves me emotionally! Now that one can jerk a tear or two! Because you can imagine the bond built between the old woman and Tod after those years of living together. Especially if you've ever owned a dog, as I know both you and I have (and still do). You know how hard that bond would be to break...and how painful. That scene illustrates that beautifully!

In honesty, I cried more at the end - with Bambi taking over as the Great Prince - than I did when his mom died. I don't know; It might be because I JUST saw this movie, after 19 years of missing out on the greatest Disney movie ever made. I think if I grew up with this movie, like I did 'The Lion King', then maybe I would. Because I STILL cry when Mufasa died.
