I know. I registered on August 15 2008, and they day after the anniversary, I was all like, "NOOOO! I forgot!!!" Yeah...

well lets see... i was surfing google looking for rare balto items to buy and anything elss of balto's and bam i come across this site, i was blown away! i stayed the whole day here then i signed up and been here ever sence and i've been a hard-core balto fan for 16 years now i loved balto even before i found this site.

Well I remember Balto and decided I wanted to buy it. I went on Ebay and my dad bought me all 3. I suddenly wanted to find out more so I typed 'Balto' in google and Balto Source came up. I read some of the news letters and looked at the fanfics and art. After I looked at the art I thought 'This site is completely awesome! I have to join'. So I did.

It's interesting to see that most people came here because of an external link, when the statistics show the opposite (< 3% of visitors coming from external links)
But maybe this is logical if these links are only used once, for the first visit. (instead of the search engines on which the first query by far is "Balto Source", so people already knowing the site)

Yes, that's probably one of the reasons. Also visitors from search engines usually have higher bouce rate and a less pages per visit, while those who come from external links are already intrested in what we talk about. Using Google Analytics you can know how many incoming visitors actually join the site (aka visit the registration page), so you can have detailed statistics.

My story about finding Balto Source is I was just searching Balto screenshots and I forgot to selet the image search. Then Balto Source came up and I though "This sounds good!" And I clicked the link. I found the screenshots and I liked the site so much I wanted an account! I still like BS very much to this day!

My story is very basic really

Bored of all films, Looks for new film. Finds Balto with picture of dog on front. got curious decided to check a wiki or something then found this forum and when i noticed so many fans i watched the film loved it came back and decided to join and 5-6months later here i am

I've always loved Balto. I always loved dogs and wolves, and I fantasized at the thought of a movie about a cross between the two. I saw the movies Balto and Balto II, and I instantly fell in love with the dog/wolf hybrid who became a hero. It was amazing to know that a curse can turn out a blessing in the end.

I managed to find my way here on a snowday back in march. They played Balto 2 on cartoon network and saw my brother watching it. It looked interesting so I sat down and decided to watch it. I soon realized I watched Balto all the time as a little kid, so I looked it up...And I found this. Lingered around, checked out art and other stuff but never joined untill june 12th. lol

I see that a lot of you guys decided to join BS after a while, how come?

Do you register on all the sites you go too? In fact I think I'm not even registered to 1/3 of the sites I visit every day...
So I understand this, even though it's a shame (especially for the less popular LKS and TSS who would really deserve more contributions)

Yes, personally, I register on most of the sites I visit, unless I don't plan to visit it again anytime soon.
