As Damu entered the outlands, he looked here and there. He suddenly spotted another hyena. 'Who is he? I never saw him.' Damu whispered to himself. Then, he growled and ran to him. 'Hey!' He called. 'Who are you? Where are you from? I think I haven't seen you before.' He said.

'Good job Bandia! Now we just have to wait!' Dhukiya said.

Maarufu muttered a curse to himself as the other hyena came up to him. He stood to his full height, flicking his ears to let the notches show, and his muscles rippled beneath his pelt. "What's it to you, small fry?" he replied gruffly. There was no way that this hyena was going to stop him from getting food. Besides, he'd fought bigger guys before. He could handle this one.

Moto looked to Alika with urgency. "The last I saw he was at Priderock," he said, looking over to Asali before looking back.

Asali's eyes widened at the mention of the cubs being trapped "were are they ?" she asked her voice taking on an urgent tone

Damu tried to get a ferocious look on his face and got ready, in case if the hyena attacked. 'This is our place! We live here!' He growled. 'You can't touch any animal unless you give your identity! If our clan leader finds you, she will rip you apart!' He tried to be as rude as possible.

Relieved to see Moto with Asali, Alika said: "They're somewhere in the Outlands. The hyena mentioned something about a cave, so I assume quite far in. I don't know exactly because I stayed in the Pridelands."
Alika rushed off into Pride Rock to find Koman.
"Koman! Koman!"
"Yes, Alika," Koman said, feeling tired after looking for members to join his Lion Guard. "What is it?"
"Maliha, Kani and Kella are trapped in a cave in the Outlands and the people behind it have asked for the Lion Guard to rescue them."
"But the Lion Guard hasn't officially been formed yet. So far, I am the only member, but I have a few friends interested. If I go, I'll need others as back up."
"I know," said Alika. "I think Moto and Asali have already gone, but I would recommend taking your father. He should see what these new enemies to the Pridelands are capable of."
"Father," Koman called, "we need your help with a situation."
Taji appeared from the back of Pride Rock. "What is it this time?"
"I would assume they are the same people as before, but this time they've trapped Maliha, Kani and Kella in a cave in the Outlands."
"Right, let's go and sort these enemies out," Taji growled.
"I think Moto and Asali are already on their way. It shouldn't be hard to catch them up!"

Moto began to head towards the Outlands, then paused. He looked over his shoulder to Asali, flicking his tail. "Asali, take to cubs back to Priderock. We'll go deal with the others," he ordered firmly.

Maarufu snorted. "Last time I checked, this place was fair game," he responded, flicking his short tail. But, he felt some unease begin to course through his veins. This guy mentioned more. How many, Maarufu could only guess, but he needed to be careful. If it was another hyena like this guy, he wouldn't have too much trouble. He might even gain some more battle scars. But if it was three or more, he'd have some trouble. "Look, I just need some food, yeah? So let me get by, and we won't have any trouble," he added, trying to keep his voice from escalating.

Asali nodded gathering them up and leading them away to a safe place once they were a good distance away she looked them over a worried look on her face "anyone hurt ?" she asked

'Oh, well, I see.' Damu replied as he saw the other hyena carefully, as if scanning him. 'But where are you from?' His expression turned normal again.

Maarufu looked at him, eyeing him warily. If there really were others, how many he didn't know, then he'd have to be careful. "Eh, I live around. Not here, of course, 'cause of those greedy lions over at the giant rock," he replied, motioning his head in the direction of the Pridelands. He had originally tried to hunt in the Pridelands, but after a rather bad encounter in which he was outnumbered, he knew to stay away unless he had formidable forces. Which he didn't.

"I have an idea," Bandia said as she looked back at the cave. "Let's cover up the part I came out of. They might find out about it soon."

"But I wanna follow 'em," Tawia complained to Asali. "My big brother is in danger, Asali! Please let me go with them instead!"

'Yeah, Bandia, that's a good idea. Lets go! Or our plan will be spoiled!' Dhukiya said as she began to go to the back of the cave.

Damu took a closer look at the other hyena. 'Oh, so you live all alone? What's your name?'
He muttered to himself quitely, 'Greedy lions over at the giant rock, yeah? This one could be of good use if he works with us.'

Alika, Koman and Taji had caught up with the others when Tawia mentioned she wanted to come too.
"I think you need to listen to Asali," Alika said gently. "It's going to be dangerous."
"But I'm going and Tawia is the same age as me!" argued Koman. "Anyway, I'm considering her as part of the Lion Guard so she'll have to get used to danger!"
"She can come," said Taji, impatiently, "but enough delays! We need to rescue the trio before it's too late!"

Meanwhile, in the cave, Maliha searched for a hint of light that could be their way of escape. Soon, she spotted a lighter section of the cave - a tunnel possibly!
"Come on," she called to Kani and Kella, "there looks like there might be a way out!"

"I'm sorry children but I can't let you do that" asali said a gentle but firm tone in her voice "the best thing we can do is wait"

"Asali, Koman has to go. The attackers asked for him personally to come," said Alika, "but take Tawia home. We haven't got permission from her mother."
"Please can we go now?!"

Asali sighed she knew that they could possibly be walking into a trap but she knew she wouldn't be able to stop them "alright ... Just be careful" she said picking tawia up by her scruff
