"But why did you change and I didn't?" asked Shenkin, looking around the area. He was just so confused by what happened, but strangely, he felt glad he was alive, he wasn't sure what it was. He just wanted to know why the whole world had changed without him.

Shenkin looked at her and gave a nod. "... Alright... I'll trust you, little dove..." he said, in a stark contrast to his adult self.

Several wolves began to come out of their dens to investigate.

Katie smiled cordially. "Alpine, how could I forget? You've gotten... Silver. And regal." she said with a chuckle, before looking to Shenkin. "I have a favor to ask. You see, there is a pup who needs a good pack and much love given to him. Perhaps, you could take him?" she asked, presenting Shenkin.

Alpine smiled. "Don't worry, we'll take good care of him," he said, smiling down to the little pup. "Sakak already told us you were coming, it's no problem. Plus, you're Bashkei's daughter, it's the least I can do."

Shenkin smiled as several puppies came to greet him and wagged his tail. He then looked up to Katie. "... I'll miss you... but I think I'll be ok here."

"Thank you." Katie said softly, looking down to Shenkin. He'd have many friends here. There was even a silver little she wolf his age, who seemed happy to greet him.

"I know you will. Be good, I know they'll be good to you." Katie said and nuzzled the pup, her friend.

OOC: Yeah, but it was a really touching ending. Both for the main characters as for Shenkin getting his second chance at life.
