Okay, I know it's in every town, but why put into a kids cartoon?

There's nothing wrong with this. :/
If every town has one, then I'm sure they've seen one in real life.

Personally I don't see a problem with it. For one thing, in order to actually see that it says "John's Bar" you have to pause it, or at the very least focus on that spot instead of on the dogs. For another, bars aren't a "bad thing", they are simply not a "kid thing". There are a lot of things kids are not allowed to do, such as drive cars, but putting cars in a kids movie isn't considered a bad thing.
In any case, the reason it's there is for authenticity. I know, authenticity in a movie that has talking dogs. Regardless, that's why it's there. Nome in the early 1900s had a bunch of bars, so it's at least consistent with the time frame. Ultimately though, I doubt any kid would watch this movie and notice that sign instead of watching the dogs. Even if they did, it would then be their parents' responsibility to explain what a bar is, and that's not a bad thing either.
Since there are no scenes of anything happening inside a bar, I really don't think it's any kind of issue.

John, your concern has some merit, but what has been said is right - old Nome was a place of vices...alcohol, "ladies of the night", gambling...all manner of things. And while they don't show that in detail (thank goodness), it was still there nevertheless.
Of course, most people don't seem to realize that prohibition laws were in effect in the 1920s, even in the Alaska territory. And Nome experienced them as much as any other Alaskan town. So there would have been no open bars or speak easys. Any drinking was done under cover and illegally.
And yet, many buildings of the gold rush era of Nome, including old bars and saloons, were standing abandoned, and were probably lived in by squatters, or repurposed into other businesses. And then, when the prohibition laws were eventually lifted, some of those old saloons (or all new ones) were once again opened and did a thriving business.

I personally see no reason not to. The more children are sheltered the wilder they are going to be when they gain access, because it's a novelty. If they are introduced early, the novelty won't exist and they won't go crazy on their 21st. Or any other time thwy gain access. I was introduced to all the "adult" subjects thar have been discussed here at a very early age, and it's done me no harm

But then remembering how the movie went and the fact Balto doesn't have a collar I realized it wasn't. Still, they should really have come up with some more unique markings and colors for these extra and even new characters.

Like other people have said, you need to pause it in order to even see that. I had no idea it was even there until you pointed it out.
And kids see bars all the time. They're harmless. What, you think because kids will possibly see a bar in a film they'll automatically become alcoholics? My dad used to take me to his pub all the time to play music, and it's not affected me at all.
You're just overreacting over spilt milk, really.
Also, this is in the wrong section. Shouldn't it be in WoC?

Theres nothing wrong with it, daisy is right, plus they don't show any specific alcohol beverages there for perfectly fine, I personaly like the bar in nomeXD people havin a good time, and like JC said back in that time period it was all about gambling, drinking a firearm on almost every table, but that picture is nothing to get OH MY GOD over, infact I found this amusing and lots of the members here drink anywayXD
