Animation Source is looking for a new owner!

Hello Animation Source users,

Lately, the site has been the victim of several DDOS attacks and various SPAM issues.
All this highlights that unfortunately, I don't have the necessary time to manage this site properly anymore, and haven't been able to for years now.

So, it is time for me to let go and give the baby!
I am looking for someone who would be ready to take on the site, motivated to make it enter a new era!

This requires at least some basic knowledge of the followings:
- PHP programming
- MySQL database
- Web server admin knowledge (Linux/Ubuntu)

I will of course help with the transition.
Only people actually interested in the content of the site, please. No "advertisement people".

In the event that no such person is found before the end of the year, I will unfortunately be forced to shut down Animation Source. If that happens, one final possibility would be to replace it with a Discord server.

I never imagined this site would still be there after almost two decades, and hopefully will last longer!

Hi, I'll consider it. I still use some parts of the source code for other projects so we'll see.
For the database I could export tables like sites pages that don't contain potential member information (for obvious reasons)

In the event that no such person is found before the end of the year, can you at leat open source it, and release some parts of the database ?

Losing so much content is a shame for users who publish creations and site creators.

It's a huge shame this might be the end I do hope someone can help since this has such a special place in my heart but I don't blame you for for wanting to pass it over. Either way thank you so much for being amazing and making such an amazing site!

Thank you for your service to this wonderful site and its members, Steet. I totally understand that you can't manage anymore after so many years. Unfortunately, I don't have the proper knowledge about those things, but I really hope someone else has, because I would be devastated to see the Animation Source being shut down!
