Happy early Easter, Ice Age fans! The great people at Blue Sky have been hatching us up an early Easter gift for us. That being a brand new Ice Age half-hour television special titled Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade.

In this spring adventure, Sid becomes a trusted egg-sitter when he takes care of the near-hatching eggs for stressed mothers. However, things go bad when Squint the pirate bunny steals, camouflagers, and hides the eggs in an act of revenge. With the help of Squint’s brother, Clint (voiced by Blake Anderson), it’s up to the pack to search and rescue the eggs in prehistoric Easter egg hunt!

The Great Egg-Scapade brings back all the main voice cast of franchise except for Squint’s voicer Aziz Ansari, in which Robot Chicken creator Seth Green takes over the role. With Ice Age 2 writer Jim Hecht helming the story, storyboard artist Ricardo Curtis serving as director, and Blue Sky doing the great animation, this will be the must-watch for Ice Age fanatics over the Easter period.

The special will premier today (March 20) at 7:30pm on US's Fox61 depending on time zones, and will be obtainable on Digital HD through major digital media outlets from the following day.
