Kopa-Kiara-Kovu-Konundrum

Many of you wonder about these three characters. Which really exist? How do they fit into the story? All your questions are about to be answered

If Kovu was born before Scar died, then Kiara would be way younger than Kovu if Kopa was born before her.

True, but who said anything about him being born before Scar died? Zira clearly said “He was the last born before you EXILED US” She didn’t say that he was born during scar’s reign.

Then how did Scar choose Kovu to be his heir?

Maybe he was chosen when Zira was pregnant. It does make him slightly older but maybe she became pregnant just before he died. Or in you don’t think that works, then maybe Scar chose that Zira’s next son (after Nuka was born) would  be his heir, and then he would be born near Kiara.

Fluffy was Kiara, not Kopa!

Well if you look carefully, the colours are different. Fluffy is just a lighter golden yellow colour like Simba, while Kiara is an orangey golden colour. The same with the ceremony. For Fluffy’s ceremony, Nala and Simba stood out the front, and Rafiki brang Fluffy, who was really calm, to them. For Kiara’s ceremony, Rafiki stood out the front, soon to be followed by Simba, then Nala, who bought an excited Kiara out. They are definitely not the same cub.

Why is Kopa not in the 2^nd move then?

Disney wanted it to be about Kiara so it wouldn't be like the first one. There are many fanfictions based on this question, such as Zira murdered Kopa, or Kopa was younger. You can be creative with this one, but just because he isn't in TLK2, doesn't mean he doesn't exist.

Eyes colour Glitches in TLK

Ok, lets start off in the scene where Mufasa appears to Simba. In this picture, his eyeballs are clearly yellow, right?

Wrong! literally 3 seconds after this was taken, I took this:

White eyeballs. This only lasts for a split second, so you have to look carefully.

Nala's Possible Father

Many people think that Mufasa or Scar was Nala's dad, meaning she would be related to Simba. Then why would they be betrothed if they were family? What if it was another lion.

In the Lion King: 6 new adventures, Nala meets Ni, an older lion. Old enough to maybe be her father. Think about lion prides. Lionesses can be won in fights between lions. Maybe Sarafina was won after being in the pride Ni was in. Or maybe Ni was banished, or maybe they were never in the same pride. It also explains why Kopa had a brown tuft of fur, and if you think Scar had brown, he didn't, he had blackish brown. In the books, Ni looks about the right colour, even though Nala got most of her looks from Sarafina. All of this also means that Simba isn't related to Nala, and so them being married isn't a problem.

Ni couldn't be Nala's father because: -Ni young adult=Nala cub -Ni teen=Nala baby

Ni is too young to be Nala's father, in the book while Nala is a cub, Ni is a young adult- same age as adult Kovu, probably just old enough to father someone. He couldn't of magically stayed that age when he met Nala, and Sarafina is full grown, meaning she is older than Ni.. are you trying to say Ni fathered Nala when he was a teenager (or something close)? My response= Ni is not Nala's father.

Okay, I would like to start by saying that I think Nala's eyes are mostly likely teal. This would explain why sometimes they appear blue and other times green (blue in light, green in shadow/dark). Also, eye colour can change slightly as one gets older. For example, my brother used to have blue eyes when he was younger, but now they are a grey-ish hazel. As for the Kovu thing, I think the movie makes it very clear that he was alive during Scar's reign with quotes such as "Kovu, Kovu, Kovu. Scar wasn't even his father, he just took him in" (Nuka) and "He wasn't my father, but he was still... A part of me" (Kovu). How do you take someone in if they haven't even been borne yet? And Kovu clearly speaks as if he knew Scar, at least a little. We have to remember that lions age differently than humans. Kovu is likely between 1-2 years while Kiara is

Jewel: You've got a point! I bet it's just because Ahadi and Uru (I only heard of them last week ) were the first suggestion given for the parents of Scar and U Mufasa. Also, how do people consider Taka really is Scar's real name...for the same reason?!

You must think: if everyone states Kopa doesn't exist (this is not referring to the maker of this article!), then how are Ahadi, Uru, Kula, Chumvi and Ni, who were in the SAME BOOK SERIES, be considered canon? I just don't get it.

Aiyana: these books were not made or published by Disney. They were published and made by Grolier Company and they were plublished with Disney's permission but didn't want there fan story's any part of the Disney Universe so they aren't Offical to disney at all But believe what you want I like Kopa but I just don't believe in him

The whole trouble with Kopa and Kiara (and isn't there another, Tanabi?) is that the creators were NOT expecting to continue the first movie. Then Kopa appeared in books, but from what I heard the TLK2 team didn't even know they existed when they decided TLK2 should have a female main character. I'm sure the team changed a lot too anyway, affecting the character models, coloring, and such. I do think they should've put some more effort into it all, but meh *shrug*

Simba's Pride's creators had no respect for the animation of the first film. And, regardless, Nala's eyes in the first film were a greenish gray, NOT a deep almost ocean blue.

Araki: I don't hink so. All the other lions, in whatever lighting, always have yellow eyes. It's only adult Simba with the eye glitch. Especially in the first example. The lighting wouldn't have changed enough for less than a second for his eyes to go white. It was a colouring mistake that appears a lot through the movie. A mistake similar to the "white bandana" mistake in Balto. They just coloured it wrong.

TLKFan#1 -- Unless you have proof to back that up, I'm afraid you are wrong. The Lion King does not reveal who Nala's father is, therefore no one knows. Therefore it is up to the fans to decide. This question of who Nala's father is will never be answered and may always remain a mystery.

Werebereus -- As much as I would like to believe that the cub at the end of the first film and the second film are one and the same, I, like many others, simply cannot. If they were the same then they would LOOK the same. But, alas, they simply do not. Frankly, it doesn't make sense, and that, among other things, proves that Simba's Pride's creators only saw money and not a continuation of The Lion King. Fanfiction writers do better than what they did. As far as Nala's eyes are concerned, her eyes in the first movie are more of a greenish/gray, not blue. In Simba's Pride they are blue, a medium dark blue, to be exact. Regardless that Nala does appear in Simba's Pride she is not the same in character or appearance compared to what she was in the first film. Now, some people, as you know, believe like me, and others believe like you. The fact here is, despite what Simba's Pride delivered, no one really knows what to believe. If anything, Simba's Pride is at fault for the 'division' among TLK fans in more ways than one. Sorry to seem mean. I'm not putting you down or anyone down, but simply stating my opinion.

The cub is Kiara, regaurdless of your observations and Nala's are blue moreso than they are green.
