-Personality-

Originally brash, impulsive, and eager to tumble with others, Kelele was a spitfire as a youngster. The lion often got involved in the issues of others and was quick to take offense. As he ages, Kelele becomes more restrained and withdrawn from the problems of others and instead goes out of his way to remain neutral.

-Story-

Kelele was born an especially large cub, and due to the troubles of his birth his mother passed away. He was given into the care of a sweet lioness in the pride, who also had her own cub. Kelele and the cub, Lapin, grew to be extremely close friends. When Lapin’s mother passed and Lapin was made to go live at pride rock, Kelele was forced to stay back. It wasn’t until he heard the rumors of the bullying that took place against his friend that Kelele, still a cub, marched to kovu and demanded to be reunited with his friend. Kovu, aware of the antics of his other sons, agreed.

As he got older, Kelele became very interested in inserting himself into the fights that often occurred between Khan and Gainell. It was under his influence that Lapin one day attempted to stop the fight that broke out between his brothers, earning him many scars. After this incident, and under the advisement of his good friend Arien, Kelele mellowed out, retracting himself from the constant fights.

Kelele, alongside Elewisa, later go on to persuade Lapin to take the throne after his brother Gainell’s mental stability deteriorates. When Lapin is crowned king, Kelele is made king consort, and the two live in peace thereafter.

-Relation to TLK-

As a cub, stands up to Kovu and demands to be taken into the pride lands, where he resides thereafter and becomes the mate to one of Kovu’s sons.
