Name: Sutar “Holy Star” 

Nicknames and Titles: Su (by her sister), Queen (for a short while only) 

Relations and Affiliations: Deka (sister) Gainell (mate), unnamed mother, unnamed father, 

Personality: Timid, quiet, and extremely lady like, Sutar is generally seen as meek by others. She’s extremely quiet and despises drama or conflict of any kind, preferring to laze around beneath the sun in silence. While never the type to outright disobey, Sutar on occasion does state her disapproval. 

Story: Born the eldest daughter to an a family that has existed in the pride lands for generations, Sutar is no stranger to being burdened with a family legacy. From a very young age she was betrothed to the eldest son of the ruling king and queen (Kovu and Kiara ) and was not given a single choice in the matter. Her mother was especially overbearing, but Sutar learned to endure by simply not resisting her mother’s demands. Her younger sister, Deka, had no such intentions. The two lionesses rarely got along, Deka believing her older sister to be a coward and Sutar thinking Deka too wild and a trouble maker. Still, Sutar’s extremely courtly upbringing forced her to continue being civil to her sister despite their many disagreements. 

Sutar spent much of her adolescence in the company of the Queen Kiara, as her mother assured her she would one day rule by Kiara’s oldest son. Despite their betrothal, Sutar and Gainell never met until the day he became King, when she begged him not to banish her headstrong sister alongside his youngest brother. When it became clear to her that her new mate was crumbling under pressure, Sutar quietly sought out his younger brother, The infamous prince Elewisa, and warned him of his older brother’s changing attitudes. When his other two brothers marched on pride rock with many lions at their heels, Sutar managed to take Kiara and flee with the help of a lion named Minwe. The two lionesses awaited the inevitable, but Lapin was able to encourage Gainell to abdicate. She and Gainell began a new after his abdication, and are slowly building up their relationship. 

Relation to TLK: From a young age was betrothed to one of Kovu and Kiara’s sons. She spent much time around Kiara when she was a teenager, and during the siege of pride rock helped the Queen mother escape. 

Notes: Sutar is a really short lioness as she is descended from dwarf lions (she herself is not one, but is still very short); she has blue tribal markings on her fur signifying her position and from whom she’s descended from (spiritual advisors/shamans who wore paint on their pelts.)
