Personality: Akosua is very serious, seeing her smile is a rarity. She doesn't tend to open up to people she doesn't know and even then she always holds something back. That being said, she is unconditionally loyal to her pride no matter the cost to herself. She doesn't quite think that Bahati would make a great queen but she trusts the judgement of her aunt.

History: Akosua was born in the Oasis pride to the sister of Queen Chaniya. Unfortunately, her mother died not too long after her birth and so the young cub was raised by her aunt instead and put in the line of succession only after Chaniya's own daughter, Princess Bahati.

Akosua grew up as a normal lioness, despite her royal heritage, and took her duties within the pride very seriously. She left on her own trial much earlier than many lionesses her age, even before Bahati herself, and returned to the pride with a shaman earning her a lot of praise for her efforts. However, Akosua always had concerns about her cousin when she came to the throne, in her mind, she was far too emotionally driven to make tough choices but Akosua harboured no ill will towards Bahati despite her opinions.

However, when Diallo arrived on the scene, Akosua was not happy in the slightest. She temporarily left the pride to wander on her own because she was too angry with her cousin's insistance to keep the male around (defying all the customs of their pride).

It was then that she ran across Ainran.

She was wondering the edges of the desert and the rocky lowlands when she came across the male. At first, she was very hostile to him even though he treated her kindly. Eventually, however, she began to soften to him but never really lost her attitude. She allowed him to come with her on her wanderings because she didn't know the area and needed a guide.
