Personality: He is an intelligent and reliable lion and sometimes overprotective. He is normally a calm never getting into pointless fights unless it's to protect one of his pride members. He is quite unsociable but once you get to know him well, he will open up. He tries his best to be a good king just like king Selehe but still learning on the way.

History:

In the reign of king Selehe and queen Tabia a cub was born. The cub took his mothers brown pelt while his father passed on his green eyes and triangular (outlander) nose. Later the cub was given the name Baraka since he was the first cub that survived his first days after birth unlike Sabihas previous cubs. 

The cub grew fast and soon he left his mothers side and joined in to play with the cubs. 

Most of his time he would spend with the princess of the pridelands, Kipenzi. She was an energetic, young cub with a beautiful sandy pelt and dark brown eyes. She was always a very sociable lioness, something that king Selehe always thought was important in a king or queen. She also liked adventures but no-one thought that this will end her...

The day went as usual however today they decided that it would be fun to explore the area around priderock. They played for some time before Kipezi suggested going further. Baraka wanted to disagree but the excitement answered for him.

They chased each other through the tall grass or playing hide and seek until they met a strange creature.

As they cheeped closer they saw that the creature was wildebeest and still a calf. Kipezi gor into a hunters crouch and before long she was creeping up on the calf.The mother wildebeest charged at the two cubs, not knowing that they were playing. 

The mother scooped up Baraka and soon he was in the air. Kipezi leaped at the other cub knocking him away from the beast in front of them. 

The cubs ran as fast as they could until they came up to the george.They stood at the edge, one step back and they would fall. Baraka looked down before noticing a small ledge near the top of the gorge. If they manage to land on it, they have a chance to survive. He touched her tail with his own trying to tell her what to do.

As the wildebeest got closer the two cubs leaped down luckily landing on the small ledge. The mother looked down at the two cubs before turning around and leaving with her calf. 

"Ha! Are you too scared to follow us?" the princess laughed.

Suddenly the ledge cracked under the cubs paws. The lioness fell down. Baraka couldn't do anything but watch as his friend fell down, her small body hitting against the cliffs and rocks while letting out a cry of pain.

He raced after her leaping from rock to rock trying to get to her as soon as possible but when he got there... it was too late...

He stood, horrified, in front of the small body. She didn't move and her body was twisted like a snake.Her beautiful pelt was ruffled making her look like a newborn cub.

He spent the night beside her, protecting the other cubs body from the birds that waited to feast on it. As morning came, he heard a familiar voice.

As he opened his sleepy eyes, he saw his mother and father rushing forward while king Selehe was calming the yowling queen beside his dead daughter. Baraka was carried back to the pride.

His life changed greatly after that. He closed off from everyone except his parents. 

A few days later the king asked to talk to the cub. He explained that there's no heir to the throne and since Selehe wouldn't be able to rule forever he decided that Baraka would be a good choice. The cub asked why he would choose him when there were other cubs that could do it better than him but the kings answer was short.

"Because I see the same loyal and brave cub that I saw in Kipenzi."

He started his training as a young teen learning how to hunt, fight and be a good ruler of the pridelands.It was then that another lioness joined the pride with a cub near his age but younger so she was still seen as a cub. 

He later learned that they were two rogues trying to find a pride for them to stay in and hearing after hearing their story, king Selehe allowed them to stay. 

Soon after he became friends with the cub. Her name was Faiza,a quiet lioness trying her best to find someone like her. Baraka didn't really show any interest in the cub even though inside, he was happy that there was someone in the pride that he felt comfortable with.

After his lessons he would sometimes teach Faiza different fighting moves or tell tips on hunting.

As he grew and became a young adult he stood by the kings side. 

Soon after he took Faiza, now a young adult too, as his mate.

Later when king Selehe and queen Tabia became old, the two off them took their place. Not too long after the pride got bigger once more after the arival of their cub and the heir of the throne, Awena.

Awena was a smart cub, learning everything that she needed very quickly. 

The time passed and soon his little princess didn't only become the queen but also a mother and a mate to a lion called Kivuli. Their cub was called Mohatu, a sweet young cub.

By the time Mohatu became a teen, Baraka joined the kings of the past and his dear mate reunited with him not too long after.

Other Facts:

• He was originally planned to be called Kafil (the protector of Pridelands) but when it was decided that he wouldn't have any royal blood, he was changed to Baraka
• Has a dark, nearly black, brown tail tip.
• The gorge where Kipezi died is the same gorge from TLK and TLK2
