Personality: Binti is mostly affectionate and gentle, but she can be very stern sometimes. She loves being in charge and has little faith in her pridesisters to do things the way she wants. 

Bio:

Binti was born from the union of Empress-Queen Malkia and Prince-Consort Moyo. Her father saw her birth as a sign that Sadaka, his former lover, approved of his new affection for Malkia.

Binti was taught, from an early age, to be a good and responsible Empress. Binti was excited and very eager to be in charge, and looked forward to the day when she could take the throne.

When she did take the throne, however, she was not as happy. She had to appoint a lead border guard and a lead huntress; Binti had wanted to lead the hunt since she was a young cub! How dare she hand over the duty to some lowly pridesister?

There was one thing that Binti was interested in though. Birds from afar had carried rumors of rival Empire, led by Emperor-King Hakimu, to the far South. Hakimu was a slaver, capturing lions from his own lands and from others to be his slaves. Binti, still young and inexperienced, thought that this was a good idea, so she rallied Search and Capture Parties to assist her in capturing subordinates from her lands and neighboring lands. 

This went on for some time, until Binti caught a lion about her age named Amini. He was not like the other captives; as soon as Binti went to tackle him, he fought against her and refused to be captured until Binti called for reinforcements. Binti admired his courage and gave him better priveleges than the other slaves.

Binti later grew affection for Amini, who, unbeknownst to Binti, decided to trick her into thinking he felt the same way. They vowed to each other, and Binti released all of her captives slaves. But she was horrified when Amini fled with them.

Binti gave birth to Amini's son, Hadithi, and sealed away the story of his father and took it to her grave.
