History:  Koda's parents are Unknown. They died in a sudden flood when he was little. Koda would have died to if he didn't sneak out with friends. Koda came back after the flood and found his parents dead. He thinks that it's his fault, that if he had stayed home he could have warned them about the flood. 

Koda left his pride, not wanting to face them. He has been travelling from place to place since he was a cub, now a young adult, Koda has passed through several Prides and stayed for a while. He always ended up leaving. 

One day on his travels koda met a young lionesse his age named Akinyi. She was beautiful and the two spent the whole day together. They fell in love. Akinyi brought him back to her pride but her king, Ni, wouldn't let Koda join for his own reasons. 

Koda not wanting to lose Akinyi, stayed near by and every night she would sneak out to see him. But one night, Ni's friend Ashur, followed Akinyi and found her with Koda. Ashur made a deal with Akinyi. That if she promised to never see Koda again despite what Ni had said, he would let Koda live and not tell Ni any of this. 

Koda thought that she would fight for him, say she wanted to be with him so he waited. Neither of them said anything. Akinyi suddenly sad, left with Ashur. This made Koda confused. Why didn't she say anything? Did she not love him as he loved her? He waited for her every night for the next couple of months but she never showed again.
