Personality: Kusai has nothing but kindness to offer to others: Having known what it's like to be hopeless and lost, she compensates for it by helping all she meets, and always tries to see the best in the worst of creatures out of empathy. Because of this, she always comes off as a bit too naive, believing that everyone needs help, and strangers are just friends you haven't met yet - leading to some very unfortunate and awkward situations.

History:

Kusai is the daughter to Tama and Mheetu. Having been friends with Mheetu's sister, Nala, it was easy for the two to get close to each other, and eventually become mates. The two gave birth to a healthy male cub, Kusai.

Kusai was not born as a female cub, but she felt out of place being called a male cub. Unfortunately, because of their own issues between them, Mheetu and Tama did not give Kusai the attention he needed to deal with this. The poor, confused cub was left to think for herself, without any help or support from her parents. Her confidence severely dropped, and she felt she was alone and helpless in her struggles.

Kusai's parents relationship ended. Scar had badly influenced Mheetu, and Tama, sickened by the way he acted, left Mheetu and took Kusai with her. Kusai now had the support she needed from Tama, even if her father was no longer in the picture.

Tama gave Kusai all the support she needed in exploring her gender, helping the cub fit in as one of the lioness of the pride, even if she had some tufts of mane. Fortunately, Kusai's mane never fully grew due to hormonal issues, allowing Kusai to blend in more easily.

When Kusai was able to fend for herself, she made the decision to leave the pride and wander the lands. Because of how helpless and lost she had felt in her youth, she felt the desire to offer her own help to lone rogues, no matter how violent they may be. She felt compelled to make sure no one else had to suffer like she did. Naive as that may be, she was determined to try.
