Likes: Her siblings (she is especially close to asali), her parents, hunting (she is very good at it, unlike her mum and sister), meat, her grandfather simba (she is very close to him)

Dislikes: The rainy season, Fire, Anyone upsetting Asali

Personality: She is caring, responsible, mature and strong and will do anything for her family

History: Niya was one of 2 cubs born to Kovu and Kiara. This was their first litter. She was born 15 minutes after her sister, Asali.

She was very much a grandfather's girl and was often found snuggling into simba and listening to his stories. She learned a lot about being queen from simba, he would often take her out in the pride lands and teach her about the animals.

When kopa returned, she didn't like seeing her mum upset but wasn't as bothered as Asali. She knew he wasn't going to be king because he had grown up away from the pridelands.

Her great grandmother Sarabi always told her how much she looked like her great great grandmother, Uru. Niya was always fascinated by stories about Uru. And hoped to be a great queen like her. 

When she found out her sister was almost killed in a wildfire, she was worried sick. It made her become over protective of her sister and follow her everywhere for a while. She did eventually calm down.

Simba had explained to her about being too overprotective, as he knew exactly what it felt like. 

She knew she had to find a king one day but she didn't want to rush it. She wanted to find someone she really liked and who liked her for who she was, Not for her throne.
