Personality: More driven to be involved and has a much better sense of morals. She is also less likely to be told what to do and how to do it - she does what she wants to do, and for what she believes in. She is impulsive, hot-headed, and quick to snap. But she does have a softer side; she just shows it when she wants to. It is also hard for Nyarai to express her feelings outwardly, as she had grown up without much love in her life.

History: Nyarai and her younger brother Olufemi were the only cubs born to Ferisk and Imani before Imani's death of illness. They lived a harsh life with their father, who only cared to see the neighboring Outland pride crushed underneath his paw. From the time she was able to fully understand her father's plight, poor Nyarai was frightened, even more so when her brother became just as power hungry as their father. Not that Nyarai was of much help in Ferisk's eye, other than to be a barrier to bridge their pride to another lion pride, the Savannah pride, when he went to war. Nyarai was betrothed to the leader's son, Imamu, who she felt little love for.

Nyarai's contact with Uzoma came from when he became a prisoner of war for the Riverland pride. Sympathetic for him, Nyarai promised that she would help him escape, but when Uzoma asked for her to join him, she told him no, for she was still committed to becoming mates with Imamu, even though she still felt little love for their oncoming relationship. Nyarai did not see him until a year later, but by that time she had finally fallen in love with Imamu, and was carrying their cubs. When she met with Uzoma again, this time it was she who was a prisoner of war, but on purpose. Her father threatened the lives of her cubs if she did not go through with the plan - Imamu did not know that his cubs were being used as a message of threat, and Nyarai did not wish to see harm done to them.

Ferisk immediately started his war, under the false pretense that he did so in order to save his dear daughter. Nyarai was relieved when Imamu arrived in the Outlands, carrying each of their cubs safely across the river where he revealed he was trying to finish Ferisk's rule from the inside. He made Uzoma promise to watch over Nyarai and their cubs while the war waged on.

The more the war waged on, the less certain Nyarai grew over Imamu's return. Though she enjoyed Uzoma's companionship very much, she was still deeply committed to being with Imamu, but as time went on and no word from him was heard, she felt that there was no future for them anymore. Feeling vulnerable, she allowed Uzoma to take her one night.

The war ended not long afterwards, with both of Ferisk's and Olufemi's demise, and Nyarai felt she could safely return to her home, especially once Imamu turned out to be alive. Although she told Uzoma that they could still be friends, she still needed to return to fix her homeland. It was not long after this that Nyarai found that she was pregnant again, and she knew that they were Uzoma's. She immediately confronted Imamu about it, and was relieved when he showed that he was not disgusted at all by what had happened, but he told her that the cubs would be much better off living with their father once they were of age. Nyarai quickly agreed, and when the time came, Nyarai bade her four daughters farewell as Imamu crossed them over the river to Uzoma.

Never again did Nyarai set paw in Outland territory. She and Imamu rebuilt the Riverland pride after many years, and never again did the pride senselessly wage war. Nyarai died at the age of nine, from the same illness that took her mother all those years ago.
