Name: Timira
Sex: Female
Siblings: Dead (full); Vitani, many from her father (half)
Mate: N/A
Cubs: Doesn't like them
Theme Song: "I'm Okay" by Christine Aguilera
Personality: Very independent and prefers to do things HER way, not what her parents think is good for her. She likes to live on the edge, and knows no such thing as danger. She is like a wild spirit, never meant to be held down, or pushed to the side. Even though she is very overzealous and confident on the outside, deep down Timira feels insecure, and has major trust issues, stemming from her incident with 'Uncle' Tojo. As a result, she does not trust any males apart from her father.
History: Chumvi and Tojo lived on their own after being kicked out of the Pridelands by Scar. As they developed into adults, Chumvi's sister Kula and fellow lioness friend Tama joined them. Chumvi never knew about Tojo's secret mating with Kula, so he was perplexed when hs sister suddenly abandoned them. Despite saddened by her best friend's decision, Tama stayed with the males.
When she went into heat, a fight struck out between Chumvi and Tojo. Tojo wanted to claim Tama as his own, but Chumvi disagreed with the idea, especially since he had claimed Tama the night before. Tojo grew violent and struck out at Chumvi, surprising the lion enough to back down from the fight, and allow Tojo to claim Tama. A few months passed, and Tama gave birth to several cubs. The ones that had been fathered by Tojo were stillborn, and only one survived, the female that had been fathered by Chumvi. In private Chumvi had warned Tama not to tell Tojo that the cub, whom they named Timira, was his. Tama agreed.
Besides Chumvi and Tojo growing apart as friends, the trio lived in quiet peace of each other, helping to raise Timira. Suddenly, and out of the blue, Tama left them, once again pregnant by a rogue lion, and so she did not want to stay and start a fight. Unintentionally this did lead to a fight, where it was suddenly revealed that Tojo was not Timira's father. In blind rage, he struck out at the cub, and disnounced his friendship with Chumvi, and left the two to fend for themselves.
The experience traumatized Timira, and Chumvi tried his best to be a good father to her. When they came across a small pride of lionesses, Chumvi chased out the leader, and became the new lion in charge. He demanded that the lionesses also accept Timira as their own, and they did in time. Chumvi took up another mate and had more cubs, but continued to be a good father to Timira.
She began to act out once she became an adult, and more often than not she snuck away from her pride. On one such occasion she bumped into the lioness Lindiwe, who was searching for her problematic younger brother Gwandoya. The two females got off to a bad start, with Timira insulting Gwandoya (remember, she hates males), and Lindiwe chasing her off for it. Timira decided to stick around, however, just to merely insult Gwandoya more, but when they finally found the troubled lion, she began to feel pity for him. She apologized to Lindiwe and left.
The next day she returned to see Lindiwe and Gwandoya, and the following day after. She had been chased away by Judas many times, and reprimanded constantly by her father and step-mother, but this had not stopped Timira from seeing her new friends.
Then Timira's comfortable existance in her father's pride came to an end when Chumvi was overpowered and killed by a lion who had challenged him. Fearing for Timira's safety, Sonja chased Timira out of the pride. Timira, with no home to go to, approached Lindiwe and requested that she join her for an adventure. Having grown tired of not being noticed by her father and taking care of Gwandoya, Lindiwe readily agreed, and the two ran off to start a new life. However, their time ended too soon when Timira insulted a male lion from a large pride who had approached them, and Lindiwe sacrificed herself to save Timira after the male lion chased them down.
Now alone, Timira disappeared into the lands, and she was never seen again.

Thank you so much Brown ^^ I find that characters with a dark
backstory always end up being such complex characters, which, in my
book, are fantastic to work with, and are not as predictable as say
characters who are described as 'has some traits from their father,
but is more like their mother'. Plus no one has yet done an 'evil' Tojo, so why not? |

You know how to come up with good, traumatic histories for your
characters, Dakota. It's nice to see that Timira has found a place
among your massive and still-never-tiring-to-see universe. |
