Personality: Ukweli is a lot more cheerful and open-minded than his father, but just as severe when it comes to the land's safety.

Bio:

Ukweli is the firstborn of Imara's cubs, by a few minutes. Because of this he is destined to be Counsellor of the Eastlands, while his brother has the choice to be either a rogue or a border guard. This distresses Ukweli, as he wants his brother to be happy and have a good life.

When the two are teens, they meet a young lioness named Dhara. Ukweli is at first fascinated and totally in love with her, but she has eyes only for Ahadi. This disappoints Ukweli, but he tries not to be too upset.

When Ahadi is given to the Pridelands when he and Ukweli are young adults, Dhara is heartbroken and Ukweli tries to comfort her. Out of anger and bitter resentment of the fact that Ahadi loves Uru, Dhara turns to Ukweli. Ukweli knows that she will never truly love him, so he does all he can to be a faithful and loving mate.

Dhara gives Ukweli two sons, Maliki and Ashiki. Ukweli dotes upon them both and promises that they will both have the title 'Counsellor' when they come of age. This all changes when Ashiki leaves the Eastlands as a young adult, leaving Ukweli in great distress. Ukweli has no choice but to name Maliki as his sole heir.

Ukweli lives long enough to see each land in the Pridelands Empire gain independance, then he passes on.
