Ni isn't and was never Nala's father. You may think I'm forcing you to believe this -wich you may think It's just a theory-, but take a look at Ni's age. Ni is nearly the same size as Nala, wich was still a cub in the book "Nala's Dare". If he was Nala's father, he would have mated with Sarafina when he was still a cub and this doesn't look very right. He can't be Mheetu's father either because he would have mated with Sarafina when he was still a teen (his current age).
The comic you saw is fan-made, as many people believe Ni is Mheetu's father. I used to believe this as well until I took another look at Ni's age.
To be honest, I don't really care who are their parents: rogue, Scar, fan-made characters, I really don't. I don't think it would change the TLK story.

I, personally, don't think they are. First of all, Mheetu wasn't in the movies, and we can't really say what he looks like. And I also highly doubt Ni is Nala's father. They look nothing alike, in my opinion. XD And I don't think Ni could be Nala's father anyways. Sarafina in the comic book, would probably have reconized Ni at once, but she doesn't, and is a little weary at first. So overall, I don't really believe they are. But, it's totally up to you! FAN - fics are what make it intresting. So, it's pretty much up to you! Hope this helped. ~ Cloudtail

Firstly, Ni never came from a comic, but a book called "Nala's dare." Mheetu wasn't even in the movies, he's just a character that got cut out. We can't really say that he looks like Ni because there are only a few sketches of Mheetu as a young cub. Those were done by Disney, and anything else is fan made. No one knows who Nala, or Mheetu's (If you add him in your lion king universe) father is, so there is no right or wrong answer. Personally I think Ni looked way too young to mate with Sarafina, but fans can have lots of theories, as long as they don't state that their theory is canon. The comic you read is fan-made
