Personality:

Bird Song has always been very grumpy, especially as a teenager/young adult. She despised both her parents, and thought they were both awkward and embarassing, buf after she'd matured fully she started opening up to them a bit more. She only really ever seems happy when around her birds, or of course, Rosebud.

Bird Song, being the first born child to the newest princess in Equestria, received a lot of attention both during the pregnancy and after her birth: so much more than Flurry Heart received. For sometime, she was all that the Equestrian public ever talked about. There sparked a small controversy over how Cadence had given birth to an alicorn, whereas Twilight had not, but most concluded that it must have been down to Twilight not being an alicorn for as long a time as Cadence, and chatter soon died off.

Of course, because of this, there was a lot of pressure for Bird Song to become a princess just like her mother. Twilight attemted to give her daughter lessons on royal duties, but Bird was a difficult child to work with. She would throw a tantrum each time, and would never sit still to listen. Eventually, Twilight gave up and just let Bird Song do her own thing. She decided to put more focus on her younger son, Summer Ballad, and tried to give him the lessons instead.

As an adult, Bird Song spent most of her time around birds, so much so, it seemed like the only time she was really happy was when she was caring to them. After receiving her cutie mark, her parents helped her set up her own aviary, where she kept birds with a little help from Fluttershy. It seemed that her time spent there was the only time she felt happy... Until Rosebud, a blind but curious pegasus mare, found her way into the aviary.

Bird Song thought she was absoloutely adorable, even if she worried her a lot. Her disability did not stop her from being a very curious mare, and she would often wander off without realising the danger she was in, which usually caused for a very flustered and panicked Bird Song. But, she came to live with it, and the two were very happy together.
