Personality: Eclipse is just and kind-hearted and will make a fine leader some day, but when rival stallions show up to claim the territory, he does play the part as scout to ward off stallions. In fighting, Eclipse can be cold and merciless. However, he will ask his father for mercy with widowed mares and orphaned foals, such was the case with Sitka.

History: Eclipse is the first born son of Spirit and Rain and the heir to the cimarron herd. He never could believe how lucky he was to inheiret this great responsibility, but showed his great skills of leadership from the youngest of age. One winter day, Eclipse was playing with his yealing friends when he stumbled upon a beautiful palomino foal fast asleep on the river banks next to a dead mare. Immediatly, he told his parents, who took the filly in and named her Sitka. Eclipse secretly fell in love with her, not knowing that she loved him back just as much. When Sitka went off to find Freedom, Eclipse trekked hundreds of miles to find them both in three months. Sitka and Eclipse became mates shortly afterwards and Eclipse got Sitka pregnant. Sitka was very scared and Eclipse tried to console her. Finally, the two told what happened to the herd and even though the herd wasn't happy they accepted them as mates.
