Sometimes she would tag along with Rain and watch while they played. She was terribly sad to see Rain go, but was glad she finally found her soul mate.

History:

As a foal her and her brother were abandoned by her parents for reasons unknown. Some wranglers from a nearby ranch came and took them in. One night, a herd of horses came by and Fallen Star talked with the lead stallion. Inspired to become a lead stallion one day, he helped Winnobe break from the pen and they ran off together. However, Winnobe was greatly unhappy in the wild and longed for the protection and love of the two-legged. She ran away from Fallen Star and joined the Lakota Indian tribe when she was 3 ½.

Little Creek’s father took her in and raised her as his own. He eventually gave her as a present to Little Creek, once she was trained and older. Then one day, Little Creek brought in another pinto foal from the wild. She was about 5 months old and in need of desperate care. He named her Rain, and her and Winnobe became great friends. They grew up together.

When Rain was about 4 Little Creek was kidnapped by the Calvary on a raid. Heart-broken, Rain ran away and didn’t return for 3 nights. Winnobe considered helping and sought out Little Creek. She eventually found them and saw he had escaped on a lone buckskin. She sprinted home and told Rain the news. Rain was overjoyed and ran out to meet them. There, they took in the buckskin and cared for him in attempts to tame him.

Winnobe thought of him as stuck up but Rain saw past that. She fell head over hooves for him and he did too. Winnobe tried her best to be supportive but she couldn’t hold it in. After hours of hearing her talk about him, she got mad and let her feelings out. She screamed at Rain about how she hated him (which wasn’t true) and how she was sick of hearing her talk about him. Rain, got upset and ran off to meet Spirit (the buckskin). There, he asked for her to join his herd but Rain denied. She felt too close to home at the camp.

Then the Calvary attacked and brought Rain down. Winnobe watched as Spirit dived in to save her and realized she was wrong about him. Later, after Spirit was captured, the humans wouldn’t let Winnobe near Rain. They healed her well, and soon Little Creek returned with Spirit rescued. Winnobe was about to apologize for her behavior when Rain ran off with Spirit towards his homeland. Heart-broken, Winnobe cried for many nights. Rain had left her without a goodbye. Winnobe now secretly plans how to leave and find the herd so she can finally apologize to Rain and settle her feelings.
