Fiero’s small herd sometimes has run ins with the Cimarron Herd. Fiero, because of his stubborn nature often clashes with the superior buckskin, and they’ve gotten in many skirmishes. However, Fiero has not taken any horses from Spirit, nor has Spirit taken from Fiero. They simply fight for the fun of it, and because they both dislike one another. They are rivals, but Fiero and Spirit would do anything to help one or the other. Neither wants to see the other lose their herd, or their life.

When Spirit was taken by humans, Fiero helped Esperenza manage the herd, and protect them while they waited for Spirit to return. When Spirit returned, Fiero left, and took his herd with him to where they normally settled. Spirit was overjoyed at the sight of his herd safe and sound, and thanked Fiero. Spirit offered to give Fiero some of their territory in thanks, but Fiero, being stubborn, refused the help, and insisted that the debt was already paid. From that moment on, they continued as rivals, but friends all the same.

History:

As a foal, him and his sister were abandoned by their parents for reasons unknown. Some wranglers from a nearby ranch came and took them in. One night, a herd of horses came by and Fiero talked with the lead stallion. Inspired to become a lead stallion one day, he helped Winnobe break from the pen and they ran off together. However, Winnobe was greatly unhappy in the wild and longed for the protection and love of the two-legged. She ran away from Fiero and joined the Lakota Indian tribe.

Fiero was upset that his sister wanted to return with the humans who had limited their freedom, but because he loved her as family, he let her go. From there, Fiero wandered the plains in search of a mate, and a herd to call his own.

 Eventually, Fiero decided to travel the plains in search of anyone who'd want to join his herd.. Whenever he stumbled upon a lone mare, foal, or family, he would offer for them to join his herd.

Once Fiero  had traveled all he had wanted, he returned to the Cimarron and settled with his new and enlarged herd. Fiero protected everyone fiercely, not wanting them to ever be caught by the two-legged.

Later, Fiero was leading his herd through a valley when a huge buckskin stallion charged him. They fought for a long while before any talking insured. Fiero found out that he was trespassing on Spirit, the buckskin’s, territory. After many apologies, Fiero led his herd through the valley to their territory on the other side, carefully managed by Spirit.

From that day on, Spirit and Fiero often clashed in fights, often times friendly. They enjoyed being rivals, even though neither wanted anything from the other.

When Spirit was captured by humans, Fiero insisted that he do anything he can to help until Spirit returned. He helped protect the herd with Esperenza, who was very grateful for the assistance.

When Spirit returned, they went back to being friends/rivals. Spirit also shared Fiero news about Winnobe, his sister, whom Spirit had run into when he was staying with the Lakotas. Rain, Spirit’s mate, shared news of her as well, for they had grown up together. However, Rain was unhappy with how Winnobe reacted to her and Spirit, and told Fiero that. Fiero understood, but asked if one day Rain or Spirit would lead him back to the Lakota tribe so he could visit with his sister. Rain, although still angered at Winnobe promised that she would do so whenever Fiero wished.

One day, Fiero followed Rain to the Lakota tribe, much to Spirit's dsimay. When he arrived, Winnobe was overjoyed to see Fiero, and they talked for hours. However, Rain was still upset at Winnobe, and walked off to say hello to Little Creek again. While visiting, Fiero's eyes fell upon a beautiful bay mare. Winnobe explained to him that her name was Anastasia, and she was very upset at having lost her father to the calvary recently. Fiero walked over to her and talked, and convinced her to join his herd. Eventually they had to leave the indian camp, and Fiero, Rain, and Anastasia returned to the herd. Fiero enjoyed the new presence of such a lovely mare, and hoped Anastasia felt happiness here, with him, and the herd.
