History:
How a Karbadin Horse like Peak came got into Ohio is unknown. The breed originated in Central Asia. It is thought that possibly people brought the horses from these far away places, and some horses got loose and re-populated. But, then the breed suddenly died out in these lands(althought the population in Asia was just fine).... all except one. Peak is the only Kabardin Horse left in these lands... But now lets get to his story
Peak was born in the mountains. His parents were killed when he was only a foal, so little Peak had to turnto other means of survival... mountain goats. He seeked refuge with these goats, following them around. The goats knew where to go for food and water. Luckily, Peak was off of his mother's milk before then, so he would thrive on the little food that they could find in the mountains.
At first the adult mountain goats were wary of the colt, suspicious even. The horses that had lived before him had stolen food and resources from them. But, they found the colt to be no harm. In the spring new mountain goats were born. Peak was a yearling now, the playful age. He and the little kids played all the time, and he thought of them more as a family than a life source. He knows that he is a horse, due to the fact that he has photographic memory. he remembers everything.
When Peak turned two he had no desire to leave what so ever. But when he turned three, he felt the urge to go find other horses, but he didnt want to live his family. But when he turned four the goat family fell on hard times. The snow was pouring hard... and goats were dying. Goats eat much less than horses, and poor Peak was just consuming too much food. So the ram made his decision. he forced the young stallion out of the band. The colt was confused, and nickered at the ram as if to say "What did I do?" To get his point across the ram charged Peak, slicing into his upper leg. Peak let out a cry of pain, and fled.
For now Peak is healing his gored leg, and broken heart. He hopes that one day he will find other horses in his mountain home....
