Lineage: Warmblood type x  Thoroughbred 

*Personality: An absolute narcissist, she looks out for number one and that's about it. She's extremely vain and stuck-up. She somehow keeps her tail perfectly "banged" and her mane perfectly trimmed. (No one has any idea how.) She's got an eye for cute stallions and loves to flirt, however the moment their advances become too serious she wards them off with a swift kick. She is always impeccably groomed, even now in the wild. However, if "getting the dirt" on someone involved actual dirt- then this girl would be filthy. She lives for herd gossip, and if there's nothing juicy already floating around, she has no qualms with starting her own story. She often overreacts to things and all of it put together makes one wonder how she keeps any friends. However those that manage to tolerate her enough to call her "friend" are rewarded with her utmost loyalty.... Well, usually...

History:  She was bred by breeders who wanted a horse with flair and something to show off while on the hunt, in keeping with 100s of years of tradition. Instead of keeping with fox hunting tradition, Sailor was an utter disgrace because she simply refused to get dirty. She would side step puddles, dodge bushes and cause chaos among the other horses she got riled up with her antics. In addition, under saddle she was unpredictable enough to warrant her owners to finally sell her to the cavalry. She wasn't safe enough to be bought by any of their partners in breeding, and they knew the cavalry was short on horses out west.

Sailor made the long trek from New England to the western part of the country and was sold at auction. She ended up in the same fort Spirit would later be taken to. She wasn't a regular mount at the fort either, due to the colonel declaring her unsafe for all but the top tier riders, and he also valued her as a broodmare someday and wanted to keep her completely sound. The man certainly knew her worth! However, this was not to be once Spirit came to the base and freed many of the horses including her.

She joined Spirit's herd while Esperanza was still leading it, thinking she had what it took to live life as a wild horse. She was intolerable, and a great pain in Esperanza's side, but she let the young mare join knowing she had no where else to go. Once Spirit returned, Sailor nearly got herself and and a few other members killed in a rock slide. Spirit wanted to run her off, but Rain asked him to reconsider. The next night when the rival stallion Xepher raided Spirit's herd he miraculously made off with her. This was extremely odd because Spirit always managed to defend every one of his mares against rival stallions- but this time it seems he had almost... Let Xepher take her. 

So now she's Xepher and his herd's problem, but the she's slowly coming into her own in terms of a wild horse. While she still is a prissy brat, she's pretty darn entertaining and she's improved her sentry skills quite a bit.
