Character: Ty is a rather awkward colt but very intelligent. He is gangly and a little off since his legs are longer than a normal foal's being that he does have thoroughbred blood. But his personality matches his appearence fairly close. He has a 'nerdy' type personality and find strange things exciting other foals typically arn't interested in. He studderes when he is nervous and is often bullied for this. His best friend, Jack, defends him and whoever tries to pick on him will have a death wish in his eyes. The pair are trouble makers in the Camp and are often being shoed off by the soldiers or are pulling pranks on the other foals. Ty becomes far more confident with Jack around except if a filly comes by. Ty is petrified of fillies and gets very jittery when around them. However, deep down he is a love-sick romantic and adores the idea of falling in love. Hopefully he gets over his girl fear when he grows into his teens.

Relationships:

Moon - Ty's mother who lives with the Lakota. Since the tribe was going through some hardships at the time of his birth Ty was sent back to the camp to live with his father, Captain, where they could provide better shelter and food for the colt. But when Captain goes out to visit Moon Tiy comes along too to visit her. He adores his mother and the Lakota and hopes to one day live there with her when he is grown.

Captain - Ty's father and the messanger horse for the Calvary. Captain is Ty's rolemodel and often gets racing lessons from him. Since living at the camp his father has become an even bigger part to his life. Tough more serious then Ty and most of his life is centered around his work he still adores his father. Though he tries not to show it he often goofs off when he is around his son and can be seen bucking around like a foal with him. He learns a lot from him and tries to follow in his footsteps as much as he can.

Jack- Ty's best friend and partner in crime. The two are rarely seen apart and often are causing trouble for the soldiers and other foals at the camp. Jack is the brawn to Ty's brain. Ty is far more confident around him and really comes out of his shell when he know's Jack is there to have his back.

John- Ty's owner. He originally owned only Captain and even saved his fathers life but has since taken on Ty in his care too. Ty is fond of Jack and the gentle manner he talks to him and brushes him. Though he dosn't trust any other humans in the fort he will oftern be seen following Jack around.

History

Tide was born in the Lakota tribe to his mother, Moon. His father was a Calvary horse but was allowed out of the camp for his son's birth. The pair where overjoyed to have their first foal and though their relationship was not the easiest to maintain between the Lakota and Calvary, they made it work. They named him Tide after the Moon's affects on the sea and how greatly they determind greatly determined ship captain's lives (yeah, put some thought into his name) but called him "Ty" for short. It killed Captain to leave his family and go back to the fort but he wouldn't be going alone for long.

Harsh weather and bad soil hit the Lakota tribe hard and lost many of their crops and supplies. Through the famine the horses began to strave and became skinny. Though Moon remained loyal to her tribe she sent Ty back to the camp with his father so he coul be better taken care of. It broke Captain's heart to seperate them but he knew it would be best for Ty to go to live with him in the time being. He swore to bring their son back as often as possible to visit.

Ty adapted quickly to the camp and even made a friend with the foal of Captain's best friend. His name was Jack. The two quickly became inseperable even though they were complete opposites in personality. They tore up the camp together and caused all kinda of havoc. They just need to hide from the wrath of their father's after.
