Characteristics

Personality: Selfless, agile, quick, patient, and has a good memory, observant, and nice. He's not the type to have a bunch of girls falling for him and he's not the lone-wolf type, more in between. Although, he was supposed to be mates with Indy (who breeds with Stark instead) he was better off with Aniu. He'll win a race, be a little social, and then ignore any girl that tries to hit on him. He's not the type of dog to go to every social event or not go to any at all; he is more in between and will go to Boiler Room meetings every once and a while. Although he is patient, he does lose it if he is pushed into it.

History

Everet was born in a breeding program in Juneau, Alaska. He was immediately bought when he was old enough to leave his mother. He never got to know his family, because he was shipped to Nome to be on a sled team. He was trained to be a lead dog and he was for his team until his owner bought a new dog named Stark (who is the father of Steele). Stark wanted to be just like Everet and did everything Everet did. Everet's owner saw Stark's potential and trained him to be a lead dog.

Stark, eventually was training the lead dog position with Everet. Soon enough, Everet's owner preferred Stark as a lead dog. Everet was supposed to breed with Indy, one of the most highly bred dogs in Nome, but Stark was chosen instead. Everet became enraged and ran away into the forest, where he met Aniu. He went back to his owner who was very unhappy that Everet ran away. Everet's owner hit Everet and kept Everet tied up in his back yard for a week.

Stark was overjoyed with being chosen to breed with Indy. On the third day of Everet's punishment, Stark picked a fight with Everet. Stark cut Everet loose while attacking Everet by mistake and Everet fought back. The owner came outside and saw Everet about to kill Stark.

Everet's musher grabbed his gun and fired it straight at Everet and ending the fight. The dogs split up and the musher aimed a bullet at Everet’s head. The bullet just barely hit Everet straight in the ear. Everet didn't waste a second and ran out of Nome and into the forest, where he met Aniu once more.

Aniu asked her sister (and alpha) Zeera to allow Everet to be in the Alsoome pack. The alpha, Taz was not trusting to Everet but allowed him to join anyway. Taz and Zeera had two weak pups and told Everet and Aniu that it was okay for them to mate, because the pack needed more pups. Everet and Aniu ended up with have two boys and one girl whose names were Kyrik, Illia and Balto. Balto was assumed to still-born, so Everet took him from Aniu's side and buried him in the snow. (Little did he know that Balto was found and revived by a pair of polar bears.)

Everet found happiness with his family in the Alsoome Pack. However, tragedy struck his happy home when a bear attacked the yearling pups: Lilly, Jimmy, Kyrik, and Illia. It was assumed that Jimmy and Illia sacrificed themselves to save Lilly and Kyrik. Everet and Aniu were once again heartbroken to lose yet another child, yet Aniu took it particularly hard. Kyrik felt concern for his mother and asked his father why it was so difficult for her to cope. Everet then tells Kyrik about Balto's death, and says that Aniu blames herself for losing him, a type of grief that is amplified by the loss of Illia.

Everet and Kyrik attempt to distract themselves from their grief by returning to their role as scouts. While on the border nearest the town of Nome, they see three young wolves not much older than Kyrik. Everet tells Kyrik to fetch Taz while he approaches the wolves. As it turns out, the three are siblings name Conor, Conquer, and Circe. When Taz arrives, he hears their story of being orphaned, and offers to take them in the pack since membership is now dwindling. Circe befriends Lilly, and begins to foster a friendship with Kyrik. Everet feels happiness for Kyrik, finding content in the budding romance between Kyrik and Circe.

In early 1925, Aniu and Zeera both fall deathly ill and die. Everet is greatly impacted by Aniu's death, but finds comfort in Taz's kindred spirit. Kyrik and Circe also offer their support to Everet, as they know that Aniu was his whole world.

In 1926, two years after Illia and Jimmy's disappearance, Illia appears and enters the pack den site while Everet is out for a walk with Taz. Circe rushes to fetch Everet and Taz from Kyrik's instruction, and when she delivers the news that Illia is alive and at the den, Everet nearly explodes from happiness. Everet and Taz rush back to the den, both relieved to hear that their children are alive. Everet and Kyrik are finally reunited with Illia, and when Illia asks about her mother, Kyrik tells Illia that Aniu has died. The family reunion is short lived, as Lilly makes it clear to Illia that she is not welcome in the Alsoome Pack, since Illia brought news that the Anevay is planning to attack the Alsoome Pack, and urged that the Alsoome Pack abandon their territory. Lilly takes Illia's warning and believes that Illia is trying to scare Lilly and her pack out of their territory so that Illia can have it. Illia leaves, much to Everet and Kyrik's protest.

Near the end of 1926, Everet came across a small red pup sitting alone in the woods. He watched her owner leave her in the woods, and waited for her to leave. For three days and two nights, the pup stayed put. When snow began to fall on the second night, Everet decided to sniff the the pup over and noticed she had arrow markings, a genetic pattern belonging to the Alsoome Pack. Everet keeps her warm through the night, and at dawn Lilly sends out a search party for Everet under Taz's request. Taz, Kyrik, and Conquer manage to find Everet with the pup. Taz tells Everet to take the pup back to Nome, but Everet argues that she is orphaned and has the right to join the pack because she carries the Alsoome arrow markings. Everet wins Taz's support to offer the pup, whose name is Nitti, a home in the pack.

Everet takes Nitti to the pack's den, where he lobbies with Taz's support to Lilly to allow Nitti to stay in the pack. Nitti is allowed in, but is forced to abandon her life as a dog. Everet takes on a paternal role towards Nitti, but also encourages Kyrik to look after Nitti, seeing the potential for Nitti to befriend a young pup in similar age that Circe has adopted named Dreamer. While alone with Nitti, Everet asks about her parents, and Everet realizes that Nitti's father is Balto, making Everet her grandfather. Everet's curiosity gets the better of him, and Nitti shows him Balto's boat from afar. Everet doesn't approach Balto, knowing that it is for the best.

Another year passes and Illia returns to the pack with Jimmy, Lux (Jimmy's son), and Willa (Jimmy's daughter).  Illia's return is short lived, as she embarks on a quest to find Rory (Jimmy's mate), reunite Jimmy and Rory, and defeat Titan for once and for all. Everet stays with the Alsoome pack, where he encourages Kyrik to help Jimmy adjust. Kyrik is quick to remind Everet that Jimmy hadn't been fond of him or Illia when they were younger, and suspects that much has changed Jimmy's outlook. Nonetheless, Everet manages to send Kyrik, Jimmy, Conor, and Conquer out on a scout patrol while he and Circe give Lux, Willa, Nitti, and Dreamer a tracking lesson.

Everet notes during the lesson that Nitti is the most agile of the next generation, Lux the strongest, Willa the smartest, and Dreamer the kindest. After the lesson, Everet dismisses his promising students, and he is left with Circe. Circe falls down from a pain in her belly. Everet comes to her side and realizes that she's pregnant and tells her the good news. Circe is excited, but asks that Everet not tell their alpha Lilly, since Lilly has harbored envy towards Circe's romance with Kyrik, since Lilly has been unsuccessful in finding a mate. Everet agrees, but tells Circe that she needs to let Kyrik know. Everet helps Circe to the den and tells her to rest. As he is leaving the den, he runs into Kyrik, who asks what's wrong with Circe, Everet tells him not to worry and to go see her.

A month later, Taz falls ill and dies. Everet is upset with the death of his old friend, but on his death bed, Taz made Lilly promise to let go of her hatred and fully accept Everet, Kyrik, Nitti, and Circe's pups as a part of the pack and her family, just as Jimmy had already done. Lilly makes that promise to her father, and Taz dies. Lilly becomes much kinder to Circe and Kyrik, giving them her blessing, and treats Everet as an elder with respect.

A few weeks later, Illia returns with her pack of Ahiga wolves, and personally escorts Rory to Jimmy in the Alsoome Pack. Everet is present when Lilly revokes Illia's banishment and offers her a place in the Alsoome Pack. To Everet's surprise, Illia declines, and instead decides to form a pack of her own. Lilly gives Illia her blessing, the beginning of the alliance between Lilly and Illia. Lilly tells Everet, Nitti, and Kyrik that they are free to go with Illia. Kyrik decides to remain with the Alsoome Pack to be with Circe and their pups, Nitti stays to be with her friends Lux, Dreamer, and Willa, but after long consideration, Everet decides to live out the rest of his life with Illia's pack, wanting to start over and get to know his daughter once more. Lilly understands this, and even though this gives Kyrik conflicted feelings, Everet tells his son that they both have a responsibility to their children, and that Kyrik will be able to mange fatherhood without Everet with Jimmy and Rory to help.

Everet lives with Illia and her pack until his death, acting as her close advisor and teacher. When Circe has her litter with Kyrik, Lilly sends a scout to invite Illia and Everet to meet the pups. Both go to meet the pups Kione, Kyoto, Carissa, Cyrene, and Cecelia.

Everet finds peace with the happiness Kyrik and Illia has found, and eventually dies of old age surrounded by love and family.
