Personality: Hinto is very reserved and introspective, and lacks confidence in himself. He tends to chicken out a lot, and prefers to take a calm stroll in the woods over a high-stakes adventure. He doesn’t believe he has much going for him, though his peers would say otherwise. He’s actually extremely intelligent, and can be very courageous when the situation calls for it. Hinto is also very kindhearted and respectful, and has great manners.

Likes: Shila, peace and quiet, nature, sleeping, stargazing, caribou

Dislikes: Danger, disorganization, feeling incompetent

History: Hinto was born to Faolan and Shtiya, two wolves in Aleu’s pack. Growing up, he had lots of friends his age — he had a few siblings and was also good friends with Aleu and Yakone’s children. He was particularly close with their youngest daughter Shila, as he had a crush on her. However, Shila didn’t reciprocate these feelings; she felt Hinto wasn’t confident enough and couldn’t really defend himself or others.

    However, when a war broke out between Aleu’s (now her son Hotah’s) pack and a rival pack, Hinto got his chance to prove himself to the girl he loved. Shila fell for a wolf named Koyuk who was part of the rival pack, but she believed he was different from the rest. Needless to say, Hinto was heartbroken, but at the end of the day he just wanted Shila to be happy — however, he was always leery about Koyuk, and would make sure to warn Shila about him, much to Shila’s annoyance. Unfortunately, Hinto’s suspicions were right, because one day, Koyuk turned on Shila and kidnapped her. Hinto knew he had to save his friend. He forgot all about looking brave and impressing her — all he cared about was making sure she was safe. So, he snuck into the rival pack’s territory and fought off the wolves guarding the cave with strength he didn’t even know he had. Then, he whisked Shila away, and brought her to safety. It was then that Shila saw Hinto in a new light, and he finally won her heart with his selfless acts.
