Name: Terra
Place of Birth: Nome, Alaska.
Age: Three.
Breed: Half bloodhound, half husky
Appearance: Image created by Love_Jane.
Parents: Rex and Terry.
Siblings: Bobby, Reggie, and Toby (brothers), Maya, and Abbey (sisters), along with Pete and X number of other half-siblings on her mom's side.
Mate: None.
Pups: None
Other Relatives: None of particular note, except that she is related very obscurely to Balto and Steele via Toby's marriage to Luna.
Connection to Balto: Her brother is Balto's grandson-in-law, and her father is known to be friends with some of Balto's direct descendants.
Personality and History: Whereas Toby is a rough-an-tumble, dirty-knees kind of guy, Terra was for most of her life a very fastidious dog, some might say to the point of absurdity. She was adopted by a family that pampered her, and as such came to have a somewhat higher view of herself than she would have been entitled to, a condition helped little when she took to hanging out with an upper-class bunch of dogs.
Things changed when her owner inherited the main storehouse for Nome's limited grain and placed his dog with the task of evicting the rodents in residence. Alas, Terra had no knowledge of rat removal; since puppyhood, she had been deathly afraid of all rodents. With no way to explain her plight to her master, she recruited Toby to help her learn the art of "dirty work" and swore him to secrecy. Neither of them could guess the remifications of such a compromise.
Terra's name is a rather obvious offshoot of her mother's, but she is regrettably not as down-to-earth as such a name might suggest. She wants to be a good dog, but too often she is motivated chiefly by the expectations of her friends.
Talents: (recently learned) Knows how to kill rats. Other talents unexplored.
Likes: Hanging out with her friends, being accepted, talking.
Dislikes: Feeling singled out or ostracized, getting her paws (or any part of her) dirty.
As my Character: I never really designed Terra to be a recurring character. Her role in the story, by and large, was to set the stage for Toby to be in a compromising situation: keeping a promise to one of his own flesh and blood at the expense of his recent marriage to Luna, or side with his bride and violate his sister's confidence.
Dragon Counterpart: None. Toby's dragon equivalent has no sisters. I may however include a character similar to Terra from another part of the stories.
