2 1/2 months old when Bambi finds her; currently 2 years old.

Family:

Bambi and Faline are her adopted parents, Geno and Gurri are her adopted older siblings, and Bambi and Faline's new fawns, River and Raven, are her adopted littermates.

Her real parents and siblings were killed by a fur-trapper.

Bambi-

More like her adopted father, Rags adores Bambi to no end. She calls him 'daddy' and fully accepts him as her father. She'd do anything for him and she hates to disappoint him. Bambi loves her just as much. Some of the forest creatures are worried that Bambi cares more for Rags then he does about being the Prince. Bambi doesn't know that Rags eats meat.

Faline-

Rags' adopted mother. Faline was a little skeptical at first when Bambi brought Rags home, but she quickly grew to love the bobcat kitten. Faline raises the kitten with her two new fawns, River and Raven. She treats the kitten like she's her real daughter, and takes her for walks in the forest with her own twins so they can all learn and be educated all about the forest.

Geno-

Bambi and Faline's oldest son, Prince-in-Training and Rags' adopted brother. Geno was with Bambi when they first heard the hound barking. Geno gets to meet Rags after Bambi saves her life. Geno becomes just as infatuated with the bobcat as his father is, and he grows to love her like she was his real sister. He's very protective of her as well, and is willing to stomp on anything that tries to hurt her.

Gurri-

Bambi and Faline's oldest daughter, fawn-sitter and adopted sister to Rags. Gurri helps her mother raise the fawns. When Bambi and Geno bring Rags home and introduce her to Faline and the fawns, Gurri is instantly smitten. Rags loves her big sister and the two of them will stand with each other for hours just talking.

River and Raven-

Second set of twin fawns by Bambi and Faline. Raised with these fawns as though they were her very own flesh and blood, Rags loves these two dearly and would do anything to protect them.

Flower-

The first non-deer creature Rags meets on one of her walks with Faline, Gurri and the fawns is Flower the skunk. Flower was shy at first, but the curious kitten forced herself on the little polecat. Flower, seeing she wasn't a danger, was quick to accept her friendship. Rags adores Flower, and she doesn't mind his smell at all. She's even more fond of Flower's son, Bambi AKA 'Stinkweed'.

Friend Owl-

The second non-deer creature that Rags meets. Friend Owl takes an immediate liking to her and even glides down from his perch to get a closer look (by picking her up examine her). Rags soon learns that Freind Owl will be the best teacher she has ever known. She learned everything she needed to about the forest from Friend Owl, and she goes to him whenever she needs a problem solved.

Gloria-

Rags meets Gloria when she follows Gurri after the young doe sneaks out when her parents aren't looking. Gloria and Rags took a liking to each other immediately and will often hang out and talk even if Gurri or River aren't there.

Bumper-

This daughter of Thumper was expressly forbid to go anywhere near the bobcat, but true to her nature, Bumper doesn't listen to her paranoid father. Rags enjoys talking with Bumper but often excuses herself after only a few minutes. Although Rags recognizes Bumper as a friend, she often has overwhelming feelings of hunger and prey-drive around the young rabbit. So far, Rags has been able to overpower the feelings.

Stinkweed-

Though the mere presence of the polecat is enough to make her eyes water, Rags just can't get enough of this guy. His sardonic brand of humor and remarkable ability to impress despite his rank odor keeps the bobcat entertained and also keeps the smelly mustilid safe from her jaws and claws!


Brook- (MLW)

This pal of Geno, Gurri, Raven and Gloria is alright in Rags' eyes. Enjoys spending time with her.

Lumi- (Falinelover)

Another friend of Gurri and Geno's. This doe is particularly facsinated by Rags, and Rags seems to enjoy the attention.

Foes:

Thumper-

His great great grandfather, Jedediah Cottontail, was killed by a bobcat. Thumper doesn't trust Rags and he tries to convince Bambi to kick her out of the forest 'before she becomes dangerous'. Rags knows she's a carnivore, and she knows that Thumper knows. She's afraid Thumper might one day succeed in convincing Bambi to make her leave. Forbids his daughter Bumper to fraternize with the cat, and is often worried that his daughter's disobidience will cause her to become the bobcat's snack.

Ronno-

After learning that Bambi lost an antler, Ronno returns to the forest to wreck havoc and revenge on the new Prince. Geno attempts to defend his father but is injured by Ronno. Rags hates him and will now fight viciously to protect her family from him.

Syndica-

Bambi is no fan of this over-bearing bully of a doe, therefore, Rags isn't very fond of her either. She has tagged along on enough of Gurri and her friend's wanderings long enough to see that Syndi is a very bad and dangerous influence on Gurri and is often the cause of getting her into trouble.

Personality:

Sneaky, fun-loving, practical joker, very energetic, a hunter-at-heart, loyal and very sweet to those she loves.

Likes:

Her friends and adopted family, prowling, pouncing, eating bird eggs, playing with fawns, running, climbing and spending time with Bambi.

Dislikes:

Man, guns, dogs (especially hounds), when Thumper yells at her and won't let his kids play with her, when Bambi is disappointed with her.

Bio:

Her mother and siblings were killed by a fur-trapper when she was 2 1/2 months old. She escaped, but the hunter's hound dog was hot on her trail. Bambi, who was grazing nearby with his son, Geno, hears the distant baying of the hunting dog. Geno leaves to move the herd to saftey, but Bambi is compelled to stay. He is startled when a charming little grey and black creature comes crashing into him from the underbrush. He is shocked at first, but immediately becomes enamoured by the adorable animal, for the slightly aged Prince had never before laid eyes upon a creature of this kind. The creature, too, locks eyes with the majestic stag who sports an impressive rack of antlers. But Bambi is quickly snapped into reality as the hound's baying closes in. The strange young animal suddenly tells Bambi to run, and in a state of panic, Bambi flees up a nearby hill and bounds out of sight into the trees. The tiny animal takes flight in the opposite direction.

Bambi soon comes to a stop near the top of the hill, and from his vantage point, he is able to see the small creature and her pursuers. Bambi can also sees that the fleeing stranger is headed right for a canyon. If the hound were to catch her in there, there would be no hope. He finds himself worried for the well-being of the odd little animal...

The small frightened animal bounded foreward, her little heart beating so rapidly, the hound's cry becomes muffled. But the vicious dog's hot breath steams down the pursued's neck fur. She has no other choice but to turn and attack. Luck favored the stranger, for her dewclaw fortunately slashed across the hound's eye, blinding it temporarily and allowing the poor hunted animal to flee again. The dog regains his composure, and now enraged, pursues the tiny animal with even more ferocity.

The little hunted thing soon finds herself trapped at the dead-end of the canyon with the red-eyed dog flying right at her, jaws agape. Suddenly, Bambi appears, leaping into the canyon from the above ledge and landing right in the dog's path. He and the hound fight briefly; the hound racing around Bambi with snapping jaws, and Bambi stomping around in a tight circle in an attempt to crush the mad beast. Finally, after what seemed an eternity, Bambi kicks the dog in his side and the dog collapses, screaming and howling in pain. Bambi's tired eyes look up in time to see a blurred figure in the distance. There's suddenly a booming thunder-like noise, and Bambi's head snaps back with great force, as though someone had just hit him with a rock. His head suddenly feels heavy and throbbing. Shaking the discomfort away for the moment, he turns to the frightened creature and tells it to follow him. He leads it up a hidden loose rock trail and the two disappear into a thicket of spiny blackberry thorns, 2 more bullets sounding off but, thankfully, missing the targets.

Once he feels they've found a safe spot near a lake, Bambi turns to the creature and smiles. He is unusually drawn to it, and thinks she's the most unique creature he's ever seen. Geno appears, and immediately notices Bambi's injury. Bambi peers into the lake and is startled to see in his reflection in the water that the hunter had shot off one of his antlers. The disfigurment meant nothing to the Prince as much as the strange animal's safety. The creature introduces herself as Rags, and tells Bambi that she is a Bobcat. Bambi takes an immediate liking to the boisterous kit and invites her to live in his forest, for there is none like her in all his forest. He asks Geno, who agrees with his father. Bambi then convinces Faline to raise the young kit with their 2 new fawns, River and Raven, while Bambi trains Geno to be the next Prince. Gurri, Bambi's oldest daughter, agrees to help her mother raise the kitten.

All who meet Rags find her endearing, but Thumper doesn't trust her and feels she will grow to be a danger to his kind, as well as to other smaller forest animals. Bambi brushes off the insinuations and raises Rags for 2 years. But as she gets older, and requires more then just bird eggs and bugs to survive, Bambi is faced with a difficult decision: to allow her to stay in the forest and risk her hurting Thumper or one of his other friends, or to exile his precious adopted daughter from the sanctuary of the forest and into the waiting hands of the murderous hunter and his blood-thirsty hound dog.
