True story here:

So I get this phone call from the 'Security Department at John's (something) Company', telling me that I had a problem with my computer. Apparently, my Windows 7 computer has malware infected files. So what do I do? I ask them what's wrong, then they give me through detailed instructions on how to locate this file which contains 'malware'. So after about 5 minutes following their instructions, I promptly inform them that I use a Mac, and that I don't actually own a Windows computer.

And for the 2012 F1 British Grand Prix practice and qualifying sessions. I thought what hit the Silverstone Circuit in 2000 was bad. This latest was even worse.

I've run into that one before. I intend to start carrying a scraper, maybe even a chisel, wherever I go in case of such tricks.

For those of you in college or even highschool:

Buy a watermelon. Give it to your professor. "They were out of apples."

For me, the real payoff would be seeing (or if they aren't around, imagining) the looks on the would-be pranksters' faces when they find they've been one-upped. To quote Hobbes, "It's that moment of dawning realization I live for."

And the watermelon bit is epic.
