Dogo looked at Uzuri, with both confused and shocked look on his face at the same time, he raised his eyebrows, and then looked at his paws. He couldn't understand why a sweet and caring lioness had to go through something so horrible, no one should ever have to experience anything like that, ever, that's what he thought. Then, he looked back at her.

- It wasn't your fault, you can't blame yourself, Dogo then spoke with a quiet and gentle voice, and moved an inch closer to her.

(:c And also, I'm gonna be updating Uzuri's page a bit to flesh her out more ^^)

Uzuri hung her head down. "Maybe it wasn't. But I shouldn't have lived while they died." She looked up at him. "My father and lover died. How do you think I feel?!" She snarled. "I should've died with them! Than I wouldn't be so alone!"

(And Uzuri isn't mad at Dogo, she's just letting out her emotions. But her anger isn't aimed at him in any way just so you know x3)

Dogo's heart felt a slight sting when she said "lover", and he looked at his paws again, remembering how things had gone with Neira, the lioness he had loved ever since he was a cub. But she never loved him back, and became mates with someone else, and that was the reason Dogo had left the Pride lands in the first place. So, he too had experienced the loss of a loved one, even though it wasn't exactly as bad as the loss Uzuri had faced.

- Actually... I know how you feel. I've lost someone special, too, he then said, with a sigh, and lifted his head turning back towards Uzuri.

- But you're not alone. You got me and Erevu, he then continued, with a small smile, hoping she would feel better.

(And yeah, I got it :3)

Uzuri gazed at him with blank eyes. "But did she even love you?" She paused for a moment before continuing, not letting Dogo respond to her question. "He was everything to me. And I lost him." Her eyes were brimmed with sadness. "I would've done anything for him."

(I'm sure it is^^)

Dogo looked at his paws, with pale eyes, his smile had faded away and he wasn't his own cheerful self no more. Uzuri's words had stung his heart deep in its roots, and he now closed his eyes for a moment.

- No. She didn't love me, she loved someone else. And that's what hurt the most. At least you had people around you that loved you... I had none of that. I was... a loser, he said quietly, opening his eyes, letting out a heavy sigh and then he got up on his feet, and started walking away from her, thinking she might want to be alone.

"Dogo, wait!" Uzuri called getting up and padding after him. "I didn't mean it that way. I just meant- Okay, I don't know what I meant. But I didn't mean to upset you." She said.

Dogo stopped, letting out a sigh, and then he turned towards Uzuri again.

- It doesn't matter... it was all in the past, he sighed, looking down at his paws.

Uzuri nudged his shoulder gently. "Everything's in the past. But the pain's still there. I would always try and get rid of the pain, but one day, my father told me something I'll never forget." She looked into Dogo's eyes. "The pain will always be there, you just have to make room for it." She gave a small smile and nuzzled Dogo's noice with her own. "Hope it helps."
