Of course called away before he could answer Jace's question (to be honest, he was a bit relieved), Louis followed her after Trey's voice. This room, although cleaner than most in the sense it lacked layered dust from constant use, was a mess of wires and tech. 'Me in a room full of computers...' he thought to himself 'Brilliant. Computers hate me.' Nearly falling over a coil of wire he added with disgust 'And I hate them.' Then taking a closer look at the computer screens and hearing what Jace had observed, he commented out loud (panic hidden), "Police? You hacked police? Well this is swell." His eyes wondered the multiple screens, not understanding much of any of it. "Well what could be worse?"

Trey nodded towards them both, but could tell they were slightly unnerved by the fact he had hacked into the law enforcement's security cameras. "Look, I took every precaution. I'm not dumb enough to let them track me. I cover my prints." As he pointed to one of the screens, it showed several police officers in the school, and the principle talking to a few of them. The guy who had knocked out earlier was back on his feet, and he seemed to be fine - if not a little disoriented. "They've gotten to the school, and it looks like they've already gotten as much information as they can. They might figure out if they haven't already that my parents have a bad record with staying in the city. They'll be here soon. We've got to go now. Wherever this place is, we have to avoid these areas." He pointed to several more security feeds, indicating that several streets and areas were being patrolled by police - some not necessarily because of them, but still... best to be careful.

With that, he switched the screen enlargement so that it only fit one, he did something strange with the wires connected to the laptop (no doubt making sure it would be untraceable, as he started to take apart the GPS and IP aspects of it. When he was finished, he closed the laptop, grabbed a to-go wifi USB from his desk, and eyed his friends as if to tell them they had to move - fast. "I'll bring this with us so we can know where they are at all times. Or just use it if we get bored." He cracked a small grin. "I've gotten rid of every possible way they could track us - and believe me, the governments full of old guys and feds. They'll never figure out how to even penetrate my protective firewalls, much less ever locate the untrackable. Let's just get out of here while they're still occupied at the school."

Jace paused. "I don't know whether to be afraid or impressed because you can do that," she said finally. Another few seconds passed before a small grin formed on her face. "You're an evil genius," she said, whacking him lightly on the shoulder. She started to weave her way carefully out of his room, rushing down the stairs to get her bag. Halfway down the stairs, a spike of pain drove through her head, and she let out a small cry of pain before gritting her teeth.

Remembering last time, she struggled to control something before her head exploded...it felt like it was about to any minute now. She dropped to her knees, clutching her head in tense hands. Reaching out with her mind - which, Jace admitted, was a rather weird sentence - she struggled to do what she had done either. Surprisingly, a thump soon came from beside her. Jace's brown eyes fluttered open, and she saw her bag laying on the stairs next to her.

Did...did she do that? Jace had to admit that it was likely. She stood up shakily, the throbbing gone. It had been hard, and she doubted she could do it on command yet, but this was only further proof that she had some sort of powers.

Relieved they were finally moving to leave the house, Louis was only more than glad to get going. If he hadn't been so clumsy around the wires and electronics, he probably would've gotten out of the room before Jace. As it were though, he wasn't far behind her. "Of course I have the utmost confidence in you, Trey. But that doesn't mean I can't be even a little paranoid." Remembering well how it had served him in the past, he added, "It is the paranoid who survive." Nearly falling over the last of the wires, he also added in a tone that was serious but border lining humor, "And also if you need a copilot with that thing, it'll definitely be Jace."

He stopped dead suddenly when Jace appeared to be in pain. It was so brief he couldn't act upon it, and what happened next still stunned him. "You just moved your bag... We really need to take a look at these abilities. Where we going and are you okay?" He glanced out the windows and listened carefully all the while. No sirens. At least not yet.

Trey laughed at Louis's comment. "Sure thing, maestro." He followed both of his friends out, only to see Jace's fit of pain, her bag flying across the room and nearly knocking over a chair, and her pain going away when it landed next to her. "Yup. Telekinesis for sure. Jace, once you get the hang of it, you'll be a pro at not having to cross the room to pick up your stuff!" He patted her shoulder with a laugh, meaning it as a non-harmful joke, not anything to make fun of her. "Alright, gang. Let's get this marry band on the roa-" As his thrill increased at their pending situation - it felt just like some action movie he'd seen a while ago - a light bulb only a few inches from him exploded, throwing glass everywhere. "Geez... I seriously need to work on controlling myself," he observed, shrugging then holding the door open for his friends.

"I'm fine," Jace assured Louis, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "Just took me by surprise." She couldn't help but grin at Trey's light teasing, though she responded by whacking him playfully on the shoulder, not hard enough to bruise, but not exactly gentle either. "Way to make me sound lazy, Trey," she replied. "At least I can control myself...though I guess if we ever need electricity, we can just make you excited when you stand next to a lightbulb."

She grinned, letting Trey know she was only poking fun at him. She slipped out the door easily, feeling oddly excited, if a bit hungry again. She ignored that feeling; something else she would have to work on, apparently. "Can I drive?" she asked. Sure, she was only 15...but she had her learners' permit. Besides, driving was fun...well, except for that one time, where she tried parallel parking near that ditch, and ended up flipping the car. ...Yeah, there was a reason her da - guardian never let her drive anymore. Of course, neither Trey nor Louis had to know that.

Louis was glad he wasn't close to Trey when the light blew up. The glass went everywhere, and he couldn't help but think briefly about environmental hazards that the remains of the shattered bulb caused. Sighing as he followed, he put the thought aside as he focused more on getting away and working on these abilities. He couldn't help but laugh at Jace's comment, though it was a quiet laugh. He stifled it slightly as he made his way to the car following them both. "Cudos to having more control than this guy." He said to Jace with just a slight angle turn of his head. Facing forward again he added, "Seems she could teach you a thing or two, Trey." Stepping on broken glass he thought aloud, "Before you kill more innocent lightbulbs." He opened one of the back doors and leaned on it as he could swear he started to hear sirens. He couldn't tell if they were miles off, or if they were even there at all and he was just paranoid, but he pointed out to them as Jace asked to drive, "Who ever does, I hope you can drive fast without being pulled over."

Trey couldn't help but laugh. "Of course she can. I'm not so smart in subjects not regarding technology. Self-control's probably one of them." He grinned, walking towards the front door to open it. He threw the keys towards Jace. "Be my guest. Just try not to crash it." He winked, showing his comment was a joke. He knew Jace was a good enough driver not to get into an accident, even if he slightly worried about her headaches suddenly flinging them off the road. He trusted her, though, and that was what counted. "Now let's hit the accelerator before the cops show up."

Jace caught the keys, a grin lighting up her face as she slipped into the driver's seat. She immediately turned on the car and pressed the pedal. She frowned when nothing happen, then turned to face Trey and Louis, face a brilliant shade of red. "Whoops. Wrong pedal," she mumbled, then pressed on the gas. Despite that original mishap, she actually wasn't that bad. She was never speeding, and she had only crashed that once, and she blamed the ditch for that one. She blamed the cops after them for her mix-up this time.

She began driving, eyes occasionally glancing to the buildings on the side of the road. "I know this probably isn't the right time to ask," she began, "but does anyone want McDonald's?"

"You're hungry again?" Louis asked with only slightly more disbelief in his voice than intended. He was about to emphasize the fact that they'd just been eating after not even an hour after lunch, but remembered what Jace had said earlier about energy and changed his mind. "You guys are like birds. After you get hold of these abilities we should make you superheroes and dub you with bird names." He smiled sarcastically and remembered a question was asked. "And no thanks. I don't really care for fast food actually. Still not hungry after lunch anyway." Suddenly looking out the window for cop cars and the like, Louis got a bit lost in thought.

His new friends claimed that he had super hearing. He thought it ridiculous and that surely there was a good reason he could hear things others couldn't. In fact he thought it absolutely normal for the longest time growing up, and even assumed others could hear just as efficiently. His step-father proved him wrong on that a while ago, but he never really came to terms with it. Thinking that Jack's hearing was weaker from work and age, he always put it aside. But lately, it had gotten... worse? Better? Was it better if he was a freak? That he was different than everyone? He tried testing it and listened as best he could, closing his eyes and resting his forehead on the window. The mustang's engine and other noisy bits (Louis doesn't know anything about cars) were the hardest to hear over. After a good bit of focus though, he could hear the sirens. He wasn't imagining it. They were closer now. But still further off by, he'd estimate, a mile and a half. He opened his eyes and smiled. 'Not a fantastic super power, but maybe there's more to this 'ridiculousness' than I know.' he thought. 'Jack was certainly hinting at it.'

Pulling himself from his random train of thought, he asked, "So where you taking us, Jace? I suggest we wait a while before a pit stop."

"If we're picking bird names, I get to be Robin. Or Nightwing," Jace piped up. She reluctantly drove past the fast food joint, though her stomach grumbled loudly in protest, steering the car towards the forested area near the fringes of town. "Fine," she grumbled. "I'll just starve." Her stomach rumbled loudly again in protest, but she ignored the uncomfortable feeling, focusing on steering the car.

"Wherever it is, I say we stop by a McDonald's once we're close. For some reason, I'm still starved." He looked towards the others, chuckling a bit as Jace picked up on Louis's bird name comment. "I'm not sure what I'd pick. Isn't both Robin and Nightwing taken, though, Jace?" asked Trey. He let himself chuckle a little more before turning his attention back to the road. "Wish I knew where we were going, though."

Jace sighed. "I suppose so...I think I could totally pull of Robin or Nightwing though," she continued, allowing a small grin to slip across her face. "...Can DC Comics sue superheroes? Wouldn't that just be publicity for them or something?" she asked a moment later, curiosity clear. "I mean, if real heroes were names after the comics, wouldn't that just make more people interested in them? Why sue? ...I think we could get away with it."

Ooc: Lawl, knew you wouldn't be able to resist, Windy. And is Jace ever going to tell them where they're going?

Louis couldn't help but laugh, "Wow, Jace. You must really like birds. I was only foolin' around. Can't really think of any birds that'd fit either of your abilities anyway..." he glanced at Trey thinking of his affinity for electricity. "Unless the bird's mythical." He poked Trey adding, "'Thunderbird' for you for example."

He took a moment to listen again and noticed the echoing sirens had split up. One must've stopped off at the house. The other likely thinking the friends wouldn't stay long if they were there at all, went ahead and weren't all that far behind. At the moment, the few lefts and rights they had made kept them from being seen. "And I suggested not stopping for food because we're being followed."

Ooc:// Never can. ^^ That reasoning does make sense though...in my mind, at least. And yeah, Jace'll tell 'em.

Jace's grin widened. "I guess not...I dunno. What name would fit my powers?" She frowned slightly, brow furrowing in thought. Then his last statement registered in her mind, and she turned around for only a second before remembering to look at the road. She snorted. "Yeah, they'll have a hard time following us. We're going to an old cabin in the middle of the woods," she informed. Her voice dropped slightly as she continued.

"My parents used to take me there at least once every summer." She shook off the feeling that accompanied those words, smile returning to her face. "I don't think anyone else really uses it; it's always dusty, anyway. We should be safe there. I'll just park near it, and we can go on foot, if that's okay with you guys."
