I checked the votes and most of the percentage is Steele.

Cool but not cool when gets angry.

Steele might be insane but at least his personality is much more interesting, it's always fun to see him twitch!

Steele had more guts to pull off his own villainous plot, Niju really relied off the other wolves belief that he would be a better leader. C'mon, he wouldnt even swim.

Steele wins being the better villain.

I seconds what DP said. Steele actually actively worked to counter Balto's efforts. He tried to kill him, and in doing so he endangered all the lives of everyone who had had diphtheria. It was obvious that people either liked him *cough*Dixie*cough* or hated him, like Jenna.
Niju, on the other hand, never openly opposed anyone until Aleu directly challenged him. He was a lot more passive than Steele, and so I never really cared for him. So I think Steele owns Niju big time.

I like Steele the best. I love Steele. Steele is my favorite character (along with Balto). It was a shame they had to make such a cool character then make him evil.

I think they were just trying to make him seem legitimately evil. And they succeeded, which is why he's so awesome.

Which is also why I wrote my Golden Collar fanfic. Black and white husky, blue eyes, voiced by Jim Cummings, awesome styling, you know he has to be cool. He has to redeem himself somehow. You just cannot have such an awesome character written out of future scripts. XD

And to me Niju sort of reminded me of a cat, I do not know if it was the whiskers or the muzzle shape or what. I did find it cool that he was voiced by Mark Hamill. I heard his voice and it immediatly reminded me of the Joker from the 1990s Batman The Animated Series. That is also a good voice for a villain. But Niju can not even hold a candle up to Steele. Steele is, for lack of a better word, awesome!

Yeah, I agree. I was never sure what it was, but I've always had a hard time believing Niju was a wolf. Just one of the hundreds of animation mistakes that riddle the movie.

Steele all the way. Niju always looked to me like a poor Steele wannabe.

Another reason I choose Steele was for how much more realistically of a dog he was drawn. Why was Nejus face and body drawn blue?
