While it was nice to see where Timon came from... that's it. Aside from that, 'Hakuna Matata' as it's called for The Lion King 3, which is more of a... whatever, really. It should never have been made.

I like the movie, but they sort of ruined their chance to make a proper 3rd movie instead of just Timon and 's story in the 1st one

I think not but i also think so, because i don't like it how they explained a few things that happened in the first film. Like the bowing incident for baby Simba. I though it was still funny though!

Yeah, Timon was selfish at first, but that was his character. Timon's supposed to be the smart, not so generous guy, Pumbaa's supposed to be the generous but not so smart guy. That's their CHARACTERS.
I'm sure she knows its a movie, isn't that what we are talking about? A movie? Quote: Incase you have no sense of humor, that was supposed to be funny. Many people who have a sense of humor didn't find this movie funny. Yeah, they were in there after Simba left the Pride Lands as well. Yes, but a lot of people take things way too seriously when talking about a movie they like or love. Many people tend to go too far and analyze things much more than is required. That's really all I'm saying. It was supposed to be funny. Even if you didn't find it so, it was obvious that it was supposed to be that way.

When I heard this movie was about Timon and Pumba's backgrounds, I had no desire of seeing it. I did see some of the movie and all I can say is that I'm in no need of wanting to finish it.
I thought it was a good idea for those that loved Timon and Pumba and those that wanted to see what their lives were like, but they weren't my favorite characters. I liked them, but Simba takes the cake for my favorite character, and sequels that don't star my favorite character are normally movies I tend to look away from. Plus I felt it ruined some of the moments from the first movie. Such as the kneeling to Simba's presentation as Alkan mentioned.
I think it wasn't a total mistake, but it just seems a little one sided to me.

I bought it when it came out on DVD and only watched it once with my parents. Even they were disappointed with it, as was I. I think the only they did that interested me was involving Timon's family, or Ma and Uncle Max. Aside from that, it was a total bust and, really, doesn't deserve the 'right' to be called The Lion King 3, or The Lion King 1 1/2.

i agree that it gives us a perpesctive on Timon and Pumbaa but it didnt show anything about Pumbaas life before he met Timon. Also I feel that at the presentation of Simba it was disrespectful. As when Pumbaa had um.. gas he made the animals collaspe making the others thinking that they had to bow. This ruined Simbas presentation, as it didnt fit right. It made me feel upset that one of the best scenes in the original lionking, was ruined by this cheap prequel. Also in the orginal lionking simba didnt hug timon and pumbaa near the end, and Ma and Max werent there. So i feel as if this movie wasnt emotional or irrelvant. Please respect my views

TLK 1 1/2 was a cash cow attempt to run on TLK's success, nothing more. Honestly it was a poor attempt to recapture the first movie's story - not that I minded Timon and Pumbaa, but this movie completely changes up the events of the first movie or completely contradicts it. I refuse to acknowledge this movie as being part of TLK universe. If they wanted to make a Timon and Pumbaa movie, then that's fine, but at least when you do it make sure the facts are right, and don't make a movie that completely contradicts it's predecessor.

When the animals bowed in the original lionking they bowed because they respected Simbas birth and celebrated the fact that he would be their new ruler. in lionking 1/2 the disney animators made pumbaa make the animals bow with his gas problems, because they though it would be funny. not because it was the reason the animals bowed in the original. Also Pumbaa had no story to tell, but what if he did have? he most likely had a family, a home where he lived as a kid.
