This is an Open RP set during the time between the destruction of Sandleford, and the defeat of Efrafa. Anybody can join, just submit a link to your character's profile, or submit a small bio if he/she hasn't got one.

-If you can, please stick to official Forum RP rules

-You can use official characters (I have posted a list of used official characters to let everybody know who is RPing who). Please keep the canon characters true to their official personality - E.g. don't RP Hazel extremely shy, or Bigwig a total coward - unless for good reason

- Please no extreme violence, swearing or arguing out of the RP

So it would be Series 1-2, right? I just want to make sure because Spartina is in characters too.
I will make a new character soon for this RP.

I'd also love to play with Inkberry, if that's alright. :3 if you have a problem with it due to the conflict with Spartina, that's fine too, I could use Zorn, Nere, or someone else.

Yes, that's right. Series 1-2. Well, we'll see if we can split the RP into different place zones if need be, once it gets underway.

Captain Vervain, closely followed by Colonel Bryony, came running steadily towards the great, hole-ridden gulf that was the Efrafan warren; they reached it, and slid down its banks, which were muddy and wet from the rainy day previously.

Bryony side-skipped around a doe who was feeding off-mark on a root sticking from the earth. He halted with legs splayed slightly and growled at her. She quailed, backing off to her proper position.

'Trenchear! One of yours ... off-mark!' called Bryony frankly to a fellow colonel standing not far off. He then rejoined Vervain who had stopped to wait, sitting up on his haunches.

Efrafa - Corporal Aspen, who had been taking a break with some other rabbits of his rank, after a Wide Patrol with Captain Campion, spotted Captain Vervain and Bryony, and bounded heavily towards them.

"Hullo, Vervain, Sir," he said, stopping infront of the two officers and sitting on his haunches.
"Finished a'patrolling The Riverbank?"

Meanwhile, down below in a well dug side burrow, the Efrafan buck, Thorn had just woken up. Yawning, he shook his head and sat up. His red eyes darted round the smooth, curved walls of his sleeping quarters as his small, sharp ears turned, picking up angry voices coming from somewhere in the warren...

Bryony shook is head as Captain Vervain gave Aspen a steely glare.

'What authority have you to question Officers?' snapped Vervain to the lop-eared Corporal. 'Honestly, respect and order in Efrafa has gone down-hill,' he added, turning to Bryony. 'Ever since Hazel and his band interfered with our life.'

'Indeed,' said Bryony. Vervain turned and hopped away, his slitty eyes even narrower with annoyance. Bryony followed.

Well true to my username I'd be Hyzenthlay but how do I link the bio? Just use the bio from the site here? I've never done RP.

Back at Watership Down, Inkberry was sitting up on a boulder at the edge of the flat, grassy top. She was gazing out across the lowlands, her brown eyes tracing the contours of the land below. She drew a deep breath, trying to identify all the scents, and sighed. "Still not very good at this wild stuff," she murmured. "There's... The cat down at the farm... Duster along the stream east of here, off his line, I think... Oh, some sort of wanderers down quite a ways off... But what's that, then? Some sort of plant...? I don't know," she cried quietly. She snorted and continued to stare intently along the lowland, absorbed in her thoughts.

Darkhaven - A dusty-red-furred doe was clawing through a pile of tin cans, sweet wrappers and other such Man-litter, deep down in the warren of Darkhaven. She clawed through the rubbish, discovering a scrap of plastic carrier bag, which she gave an experimental chew.


Efrafa - Bryony and Vervain entered the main warren chamber, where Woundwort sat high on his earth ledge to hear patrol reports. The General, however, was absent. He had gone to lead his own patrol, Vervain and Bryony were told.

'We might as well rest until he returns,' said Vervain. ' And perhaps we'll have some Flayrah too.'

Darkhaven - Spartina groomed herself quickly before she left her sleeping quarters. It was training day today and she had promised to take on three young Darkhaveners. Muttering slightly because of the foggy and damp weather they were having, she left the burrow and came out into the open.


Efrafa - Thorn bounded down the many tunnels of Efrafa, he skidded the a halt when before him the back of a giant Efrafan rabbit stood bang-splat in his way.
'Morning Stonefoot,' he said, politely to the large sargent.
Stonefoot turned his great head, and seeing Woundwort's nephew, bowed low. ' Good day to you, Master Thorn.'

Thorn waved a paw in the air and peered over the rabbit's back.' Now, now. No need for bowing. I just wanted to ask you - What was all that screaming I heard just now? Did someone see The Black Rabbit?'

Stonefoot's head rose and frowned.' No, Sir. It was young Pumpkin, Sir. He tried to do a run. Didn't you?'
His last words were addressed to a orange-coloured buck, who lay curled up in pain behind Stonefoot, seven great marks covered his body.

Darkhaven - The red-furred doe grimaced at the taste of the carrier bag. She clawed it away disgustedly, and was quickly absorbed in sniffing a giant lunch box, loosely closed. With her nose she nudged the box's lid off, and stuck her head in, smelling bread crumbs and lettuce.


Efrafa - Bryony left Vervain in the main chamber to search for Flayrah. On his way down a certain tunnel, he found himself approaching his brother, Thorn, who was talking to a sergeant Bryony knew to be called Stonefoot. There was also one of the slave rabbits; Bryony did not know his name, nor did he care.

Darkhavern - When she was out, Spartina shook her dark grey pelt, which was covered in a mass of dust from the not so tidy warren and yawned.Then, standing on her haunches the doe cocked her narrow head to one side and listened carefully. All about her was quiet, too quiet. It was very early in the morning, when humans are away and rabbits can roam as they pleased and look for Flayrah. Why wasn't anyone about?

Efrafa - Thorn looked down at the crumpled form of Pumpkin, the youngest buck in Efrafa, and his eyes filled with pity. But he made sure Stonefoot did not see it.

Quickly he put on a stern and gruff voice and nudged the massive back away. 'Leave me with him, Stonefoot. I'll deal with him now. You can go.'

'But, Sir! Your Woundwort's nephew...' protested Stonefoot.
'So?' Thorn said, red eyes glittering. He laughed and a fake wolfish grin spread across his black face.' Just because I am his nephew doesn't mean I can't have a little "fun", eh?' He nudged Stonefoot playfully and winked.

'Oh "fun", eh?' Stonefoot chuckled nastily, understanding Thorn's meaning.' Okay. Sure you can have some "fun" with him. Be my guest, Master Thorn, Sir. Be my guest. And have a nice time...'
And with that he left the two rabbits alone, and went cackling down a hole and into the darkness.

'I will,' said Thorn as he watched Stonefoot disappear.

(Say, Paw, I'd like to be a Darkhaven rabbit! Would it be okay if I play the Speaker of the Past? )

Efrafa - 'I certainly hope you will,' said Bryony, appearing next-to Thorn. He looked sternly at his younger brother, who he knew all too well. 'That rabbit deserves punishment for trying to make an escape - you'd better obey orders and finish dealing with him properly, if you say you will. In Efrafa, there's no room for pity towards troublemakers like him!' Bryony gestured a paw at the quailing Pumpkin.


Darkhaven - Spurge found a large bread crust in the corner of the plastic box. She waffled her nose furiously in delight, and reached forward to nibble at the find.

Suddenly her long, long ears, sticking out of the box, caught the sound of human footsteps. Spurge went still.
