I’m back! I’ve done a lot of thinking about the elder generation of TLK’s characters.

By the elder generation, I mean Scar, Mufasa, Sarafina, Sarabi and possibly Zira’s generation. (I’ll have another article on Zira in awhile.)

I thought about Scar and Mufasa. They’re polar opposites! Scar is what I like to call a Jafar-like lion and Mufasa is a Hercules-like lion. Seriously. Go to another page and look at Scar and Mufasa screenshots.

 So, what causes them to be so different? Is it Ahadi and Uru, as they’re usually depicted, Ahadi as a large, powerful gold lion with a slicked back mane and bright green eyes, and Uru as a dark reddish brown lioness with a sleek form? Remind you, that Uru has never been seen, but people depict her with a BLACK OUTLANDER NOSE. Nearly all the time. I choose to believe, if Uru was RED, Ahadi had the black outlander nose, not Uru.

So, here we step into some unknown territory! Is Scar really Uru’s son? It all depends on one thing: Does Uru actually look how she is depicted?

I believe that she could be, but I have another theory.

First, look at these images of depictions of Uru:

Between the two images, you can guess what Ahadi would look like. With the reddish brown Uru, Ahadi would be gold, with the gold Uru, Ahadi would be reddish brown. So just imagine for a second.

Now that you’re done imagining, these Urus could be Scar’s mother, right? Right. Now… I have another theory. Look at the image below

Now you’re asking: Is that Uru or Fluffy? It’s Uru. I made her with Mohatu, Sarabi, and Kiara in mind. Why Sarabi you ask? Well, Sarabi lightened her fur from Mohatu’s base fur coloring. And Kiara added a bit of gold and the eye color, giving you the Uru that could be.

I know your questions right now. But Uru has to be Scar’s Mom! Not necessarily. Think back to my previous Urus. One was brown, right? Well give her dark eyeshades with maybe blue eyes (if you believe that Scar is Vitani’s father, if not, give her green eyes) and Zira’s body build/nose type. What do you see?

Scar’s mother. Most people depict Uru of having Kiara, Nala, or Sarabi’s body-type. How in the world can that create Scar? You’re saying right now: But Uru probably has bad genes if she’s Mohatu’s daughter! Why would that be? Just because she got dehydrated doesn’t mean she was malnourished.

Here are other clues to Uru not being Scar’s mother:

In the first movie, when Zazu asks Scar about Uru, Scar acts disgusted. (Zazu: Didn’t your mother tell you not to play with your food? Scar: What do you want?)

Scar has a bit of a grudge to Mufasa, one that seems to be a little too much for wishing to be king.

Scar also is manipulative.

Now, I believe Uru is Mohatu’s daughter. One way or the other, she’s his daughter, because in “a Tale of Two Brothers” Uru is finding water, not Ahadi. That shows she’s a Pridelands native. So, let’s show what traits we see of Uru (by mention)

She’s caring.

She’s worried about the Pridelands

She wants the best of her son(s) (Completely by mention.)

Scar has none of these qualities. What could this mean? Is Scar more like Ahadi? Well, then why does Ahadi show concern for Scar at the end of “Tale of Two Brothers?” Then, either Scar resents both his parents (if they’re Ahadi and Uru,) or Scar is like his birth mother, the lioness I mentioned above.

Let’s give that lioness I mentioned above a pessimistic look on life. She births Taka and basically names him after garbage (note: Taka means trash.) Maybe that was because she had an affair with Ahadi, which she regrets. She drops Taka off with his father and stepmother, Uru. Uru, the daughter of Mohatu, has an heir: Mufasa. She wants Ahadi to give Taka to another lioness in the pride after Taka’s mother leaves. Ahadi, however, cannot abandon his son, and Uru accepts it, although she’ll never accept within the Royal Family (Ahadi, herself and Mohatu) that he is her son. To the rest of the Pride, they think that Uru had given birth again (of course, unknowingly) and the cub was just more similar to his grandfather, Mohatu.

Taka grows up, not knowing Uru isn’t his mother until they fight one day. Uru, in anger, admits the truth that she isn’t his mother, making Taka angry and resentful. He thinks that his father had pitied him when his birth mother left him. Let’s say that Taka’s mother reappears after so long, sorry for abandoning her son, and starts bonding with Taka as a teenager.

Taka’s mother convinces Taka to try to take the throne from underneath his father and stepmother. Taka starts becoming pessimistic about life, distancing himself from his father and leaning into his birth mother, unknown to the Pride. After, he tries to show up Mufasa unsuccessfully, gaining his scar and changing his name. Ahadi dies, and after Uru imparts her title as Queen, her only son, Mufasa, becomes King. Taka/Scar resents this. His mother convinces him of one thing.

Become the King of Pride Rock. Being the name-only son of Uru gives him that right in a way. (I read a book in which a name-only daughter of a big shot tycoon becomes his only heir.)

Scar’s mother dies, to Uru’s relief. She tries to form a bond with her stepson, but Scar is distant. Uru still says to her stepson she’ll always think of him as hers, even if he isn’t by blood, and apologizes for the fight so many years earlier. Scar doesn’t soften to this. He ignores Uru in every single way, to Uru’s sadness.

Then Simba is born and Scar is no longer first in line, resenting Uru’s true son, Mufasa, in every single form, telling himself it’s not fair. He may be a name-only Prince, but he is still a Prince! He deserves a shot to the throne. Then he thinks of one thing.

As the only male in the Pride, he will have to become King, especially since the Pride (and most likely Mufasa) don’t know that Scar is the unknown lioness’s son and not Uru’s. Uru claims him as her heir, therefore, after Mufasa dies he is to become King. Uru cannot stop him for one thing: she doesn’t want to reveal Ahadi’s infidelity.

I know this theory has many holes in it. But it’s a THEORY not FACT. I’m not telling you to believe it.

The comic's states Ahadi had Black mane and Green eye's, a reference of his relationship to scar of course, but in a pic of him we see him looking like mufasa/Simba, but still don't rule out what the author said about ahadi having the black name and green eye's also we have never seen anything of Uru nor know except for searching for water, the answer will remain unknown, we have little to No info on uru, no official art of how she looked like, nothing at all, so by story, she is Just his mom :/, also Scar was not even intended to be related to mufasa but later was changed, his design is also meant to BE EVIL, the black mane, the smooth charismatic look and feel, every villain seem to have it.

Interesting article, but I already solved this problem for myself. I think Scar got his Outlander looks from his grandmother (Uru's mother).

Cool article. However , Scar and Mufasa's Parents Don't have names. Ahandi and Uru are only in the book universe , However , You could use that , Or some people come up with their own names like I have.
