Anan Dejen 

Nicknames and Titles: Prince, King, Anan (by most lions) Dej (by Neffera only)

Relations and Affiliations: Mtoto (father), Areesa (little half sister), Neffera (mate), Gainell + Elewisa + Khan (third cousins). 

Personality: Old schooled and temperamental, Anan Dejen is stubborn, prideful and can at times be very unreasonable. He is known for ruling with a bit of an iron fist and for his prowess in battle. He hates being pitied for his missing foot, and is quick to defend against a perceived insult. His anger is only ever tamed around those he loves. 

Story: The last born son of Mtoto and the older half brother to Areesa, Anan Dejen was selected by his father from a very young age to rule as the next king of the pride. When he was a young adult, Anan Dejen and a few of his other brothers took on the rhino Blockhead, who was at the time making things very unpleasant for the pride. Anan Dejen was the main attacker, and managed to drive the rhino away, but he lost a foot and gained many deep scars in the process. During his time recovering, Anan Dejen became the mate of the healer Neffera. When his father passed away, Anan Dejen ruled as the new leader of the pride. During his reign he welcomed his third cousin Elewisa into his pride for over a year, and became quite close and friendly with the lion. For that reason, and thanks to the pleading of his beautiful mate that Anan Dejen later decides to send reinforcements with his third cousins to March against pride rock. Anan Dejen himself accompanied the brothers, and before the battle began helped get the Queen mother Kiara and the new Queen Sutar out to safety. He returns with his pride mates after the abdication of the former king.  

Relation to TLK: Son of Mtoto; as a young adult he went up against Blockhead the rhino with a few others and managed to drive the rhino off, though he gained several scars and lost a foot because of the battle.
