Personality: Sergei is an extremely reserved and distant lion who has a lot of trust issues, due to things that happened in his past. He has a strong sense of justice, and he absolutely can't stand seeing anyone being mistreated or neglected, and he will always defend those who need it. Sergei is extremely overprotectice towards his family, which he loves more than anything, and he is willing to take extreme measures to keep them safe. Still deep down, he is a very kind and friendly lion who shows his true colors to those he feels are worthy of it.

Likes: His family, the Pridelands, taking strolls, stargazing, napping in the shade.

Dislikes: Being lied to, when his children get into trouble, anyone that threatens his close ones.

Story: Sergei was born as the only cub to the royal couple of his pride, not too far from the Tree of Life, who the pride was close allies with. In time, when his parents passed away Sergei became the next king, with a loving queen by his side, and eventually they had a son together, who was named Aleksei. Things couldn't have been better... or so Sergei thought. One day, a group of enemy lions invaded the pride, and even though Sergei ordered his best troops to defend the kingdom, they were quickly outnumbered by the enemy forces. But that wasn't the worst part; it turned out that the enemy attack was lead by who Sergei had thought was his best friend, and his mate was in the same plot: he overthrew Sergei, who was forced to take the infant Aleksei and flee his kingdom. They took refuge in the Tree of Life, where they stayed for a good while and the pride's healer Nirmala helped Sergei take care of little Alek, and also tended to Sergei's injuries that he had gotten in the battle. Once Sergei had recovered, and Aleksei was old enough to travel with him, they decided to leave the Tree of life and start finding a home of their own. But still, with the betrayal of his mate and friend fresh in his mind, Sergei had some major trusting issues, he was extremely overprotective towards his son and responded with hostility to anyone who tried to approach them, which made finding a new pride quite difficult. Sergei always kept a close watch on Aleksei, but one day, the cub managed to sneak away from his father and got trapped in a rhino stampede. Little Alek would have been trembled to death, if it hadn't been for a lioness named Honor from the Pridelands, who rescued him right on time. As Sergei arrived to the scene, he lunged towards the lioness with a fierce roar, ordering her to get away from his son. But Alek stopped his father and said that the lioness had saved him, Sergei still didn't trust her, but as Aleksei started hanging with her more, and since he saw that for some reason his son trusted this lioness, Sergei slowly started to come around, and decided to give her a chance. He discovered that she was actually a princess of the Pridelands, sister of the king, Simba, and in time, he found herself falling in love with her and opened up to her about his dramatic past. Simba gave them his blessing, and eventually, when Alek was a teen, Honor gave birth to twins who were named Cedric and Celia.

Relation to TLK: Lived in the Tree of Life for a while, mates with Simba's sister.
