Apearance: Subira has more muscular legs, but a slim body. Her fur is a dark colour, but she has light patches around her eyes and light ear rims. She also has a dark nose that is a very recognizable trait amongst her family, as well as lighter brown eyes.

Personality: Subira is often submissive, not much of a fighter, and never really pushes for her way, as she was always told to follow orders rather than give them. She tends get very frustrated when she is made to do something she believes is wrong, which led to a one-time outburst at her husband that now brings fear whenever she wants to stand up for herself in future situations. On the other level, Subira is very kind and does what she can to take care of her pride and her cubs, who she loves very much.

History

Subira began her life in a world of survival. She was born, alongside her brother, to her rogue parents, who had been previously removed from their pride. As a cub, she never understood what was so hard about living outside of a pride, as it was all she'd ever known. Of course, Subira did get lonely from time to time as she didn't always want to play with her brother. It wasn't long though, before her life would start to change.

Subira's parents were accepted into the Southern Pride by their current king. She was excited, but also nervous to begin meeting new cubs. Eventually, Subira settled in, despite her worry, and made friends with the prince, Matari.

In her early teens, Subira was well behaved, due to strict training from her parents. Although it was strange to her that the other lionesses never seem to act like her, she never stopped going about her life. Unfortunately, one day, Subira's parents had revealed to her that she was betrothed to Prince Matari as a deal made previously, between them and the king, to be accepted into the pride. She was furious, but never expressed it. Instead, Subira tried to spend more time with Matari, who had become a good friend, but never found any feelings for him. She had become deeply saddened by this, but never told anyone.

When they had become adults, Subira was married to Matari and made queen of the Southern Pride. Matari didn't want cubs right away, despite Subira's wishes for them, but she never fought back. However, one day, she felt herself feeling off and decided to pay a visit to the healer of the pride. It was determined that Subira was pregnant, which made her extremely happy. When she gave Matari the news, she didn't see any reaction, but rather a cold stare directed at her. Subira was unsettled, but remained positive about becoming a mother.

Subira gave birth to two sons, which made Matari somewhat more thrilled about being a father. The eldest son, Taji, was made the crown prince and future king of the Southern Pride. Subira was a good mother to her sons, but became angry at Matari for barely acknowledging their existence most of the time, and when he did, he would become violent and abusive. When she finally had the courage to break the rules and speak up, she was met with a violent response. Subira never spoke up to her king ever again, but noticed that Matari stopped being vicious towards their cubs. This made her happier, but she knew that she would never be truly happy with Matari. Subira continued to raise their cubs and remained queen for a long time.

Relation to The Lion King

Subira married Matari, the king of the Southern Pride, which is south of the Pride Lands. Her son, Taji, would meet Sarafina and become the father of Nala and Mheetu, making her their paternal grandmother.
