Personality: A shy and quiet lioness who only seeks to make friends, not enemies. Mohatu has selected her as an ambassador for his pride as she was a very good talker once she got started, and she always saw a fair side to everything. Despite her rough life, Thema tries to keep a big smile and keep herself happy. She loved Uru very much, and was disappointed when she saw that Uru had a closer bond with her father.

History: Thema descended from the pioneering Outlander pride, evidenced by her dark color and nose shape as they are the only lion pride so far to have those features. Due to circumstances not in her favor, Thema was kicked out of her pride, and was soon found by Mohatu. Feeling pity for her, he took her in and nursed her back to health. In a short period of time, they fell in love with each other and Mohatu, who had not selected a favorite lioness yet, chose her to be his Queen. This caused jealously within the pride, as the other lionesses were hoping to be chosen. They gave Thema a hard time, not only because she was the Queen, but also because she was an Outlander.

When Mohatu's pride came across the Outlander pride, bad blood was struck between the two of them. The Outlanders, having not really thought through their choice of punishment for Thema, did not want their lionesses mingling with other lion prides. As a result of this, there came tension between the two prides, which would eventually be patched up thanks to Uru.

Thema did not get to live as long as her mate did. She passed away prematurely due to infection from an open wound she received on a failed hunt.
