Personality: Cold to the touch. Rena has a loner personality. She prefers to do things on her own, believing that she is capable of doing just about anything. She is loud, outspoken, and if she senses anything out of place, she will let it be known what she thinks, perhaps to the point of being obnoxious. Rena would be more of a social lioness if she could get past her loner personality, But even then, her dark looks and family history might chase many would-be friends away.

History: Rena is the first cub born between Reno and Sauda. Reno, disgusted that he broke his vow of chastity, avoided them as much as possible. Ikeena, Reno's adopted brother, stepped in to try and bridge the relationship between the family as well as play father-figured to Rena when Reno wasn't. As a result, Rena likes Ikeena more than Reno.

When Reno finally came to his senses, Rena was getting bigger. He first apologized to Sauda who gladly accepted him back, and then to Rena who didn't. She was very hostile and unforgiving to him. In her mind, she felt she was the reason for Reno not paying attention to them (which, in truth, was). When she became an adolescent, Rena grew a tuff of hair on her backside, now beginning to resemble an adolescent lion instead. Though her mother was shocked at this development, Rena liked her hair tuff, thinking it made her look tough.

Rena continued to grow and saw her parents produce many cubs. She was upset because she felt they had no time for her anymore, so she snuck away from the small pride during the night, and disappeared. Rena, like her father, now wanders as a rogue.

She eventually bumped into the male lion, Maalik, who was on his own after leaving behind his deranged family. Finding a similar purpose, the two instantly struck a bond, and Rena even began to harbor hidden feelings for him. Wanting his love, during mating season, she seduced him, but was heartbroken afterwards when he politely went up to her and said that he didn't love her in the same way she loved him. Rena was instantly crushed, and she fled him. When Samanya was born, Rena abandoned the cub, unable to look at her without thinking of Maalik.

Rena lived out on her own for awhile, and it only made her heart that much colder. One day she happened to stumble upon Ari's pride and decided to join, knowing that she would not last that much longer on her own. Though the pride's lions and lionesses were very welcoming of her, Rena kept to herself. Only one lion continued to persist her with an offered hand of friendship - that lion was Chari, who wanted to help out this troubled lioness.

Rena was unreceptive of Chari's help, garnering a distrust of males after what happened with Maalik. When the lion showed up, it led to all sorts of awkward situations. Rena did not inquire about their cub - as far as she was concerned, nothing had happened between them. Chari offered a happy medium for Rena, slowly winning over her trust.

If given time, something could've emerged between her and Chari. There was a connection, there was no denial there. But then Abel and his band of lions happened. Initially waging war only on Judas and his pride, Ari's pride, led by Maalik, came to their aid. Rena was killed in the heat of battle after defending Chari, who was having difficulty fighting with one eye.
