Personality: Very unstable. Due to all the inbreeding on her father's side of the family tree, Samanya has inherited a deadly concoction of mental and emotional unstability. While her father also faced having an unstable personality, he was much more in control of it as he grew older. Samanya only seemed to get worse - she was unable to stop herself from doing the stuff she did, and in a lot of instances came up with excuses to justify why. She has a worse temper than her father, and often tampering with it will lead her to initiate violence. But despite her many faults, Samanya does want to control herself. She is just unable to do so.

History: When Maalik had branched out from his life living in his parents' pride, he bumped into the rogue lioness Rena, who had also left her home for reasons she refused to disclose. They had become close friends during the time spent together and, while Rena loved him, Maalik did not share the same feelings for her. Nonetheless, this did not stop Maalik from mating with her, thus conceiving Samanya. In her anguish, as soon as Samanya was born, Rena left the cub in Maalik's care, and marched off. Not knowing how to take care of a cub, Maalik too abandoned Samanya.

She was fortunately found by Gacheru, who was separated from Sarafina and Abrafo, and who was also the younger brother of Rena. The weak male took her in and raised her as his own daughter, a factor which he took advantage of due to the fact that he was unable to bear cubs, and the fact he was so sickly he would never attract the eye of a female. Gacheru took good care of Samanya, but immediately knew something was wrong with her when she began acting erracticly. Gacheru struggled with Samanya while Samanya struggled to control her anger, a fact which eventually led to Gacheru's death after an anger tantrum gone wrong.

Samanya left, wandering on her own until she came across Ajani and his son Lutalo. She attacked Ajani immediately, her anger never abating from Gacheru's death. However she did not stand a chance against Ajani and was quickly subdued by him. Her anger gone, she broke down and confessed that she killed her father and was on her own. Feeling pity for her Ajani took her in, and while her relationship with Ajani grew Samanya had difficulty getting along with Lutalo as they both disliked each other instantly.

Ajani suggested that Lutalo help teach her to fight, and though he was against it, he was forced to do it. No matter how hard Samanya fought she could not beat him, and during one session she broke down, begging him to kill her. This moment of vulnerability touched Lutalo and he comforted her. Since then the two had been insperable.

Life with her adopted father and brother was great, until Ajani died after getting too close to an enraged water buffalo. The event took Samanya and Lutalo by storm, and they end up regressing back to a former, violent state of primitive being. Though the two stayed close to each other, they attacked anything and anyone in their path. When they eventually arrived in Ari's pride, they reacted with mild hostility, but Ari still welcomed them. Rena was now living in the pride and, though she recognized her daughter, refused to come forward and say that Samanya was hers.

Ari took her time trying to heal Samanya, and while she did start to calm down, Lutalo only got worse.
